    PITMAN -- Ada E. Ferster, 84. formerly of HC63 Rebuck, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, in the Ashland Regional Medical Center. She lived at the Friendly Nursing Home since 1991. She lived in the Gowen City and Rebuck area most of her life.
    She was born March 29, 1913, in Augustaville, a daughter of the late Herbert and Maude (Campbell) Reader. Her first husband, Alvin Leach, died Feb. 18. 1958. On April 15, 1960, in Gowen City, she married Irvin E. Ferster, who died last July 25.
    She attended Augustaville area schools.
    Mrs. Ferster was a homemaker.
    She attended Zion Lutheran and Reformed Church, Augustaville.
    Surviving are four daughters, Mary Erdman and Anna Broscius, both of RR1 Dornsife, Linda Shipe of New Orleans and Sarah Leach of Elysburg; two sons, John Leach of Shamokin and Dave Leach of Dalmatia: two brothers, Emerson and Melvin Reader, both of RR1 Sunbury; three sisters, Alda Shaffer of Mifflinburg, and Mary Davis and Thelma McCarthy, both of Sunbury; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by six brothers. Ralph, Harry, George, Floyd. Benjamin and Ira Reader and one sister, Alberta Graybill.
    The funeral will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. John's Reformed Cemetery, Lake [Leck] Kill. There will be no viewing or visitation.
    Arrangements were by the Robert G. Foust Funeral Home, 84 1 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton.
