    Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Hoover Funeral Home in Berrysburg for Frank M. Smeltz. The Rev. Richard B. Starr officiated and interment was in Gratz Union Cemetery.
    Mr. Smeltz, age 65, of Elizabethville, died Friday in Polyclinic Hospital in Harrisburg. He is survived by his widow, Aldena [Alvena]; one son, Richard of Hartford, Conn; four daughters, Mrs. Carl Miller and Mrs. Ralph Miller, both of Halifax RD; Mrs. William Hoffman of Tower City; Mrs. Richard Shade of Gratz; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Hartman of Pine Grove and a brother, Allen of Valley View.

    She had worked at the former Olivetti office machine plant in Harrisburg.
    She was the widow of Ralph L. Miller. Surviving are a daughter, Debbie A. Miller of Shermans Dale; three sons, Dale L. of Duncannon, Dean L. of Chicago, IL, and David L. of Shermans Dale; a brother, Richard Smeltz of Hartford, CT; three sisters, June Miller of Halifax, Marilyn Shade of Elizabethville, Joyce Hoffman of Tower City; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m., at the Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Millersburg. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax. There will be no viewing or visitation.

    Rutherford Warfield, 73, of Orwin, a retired miner, died in the Pottsville Hospital on Sunday.
    Mr. Warfield was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frarfklin Warfield and was a native of Sacramento. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Morgan Warfield, one daughter, Mrs. Roy Schwalm, Orwin; one son, Allan Warfield, at home; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Other survivors are three brothers, Frank Warfield, Elizabethville R.     Services were held from the H. E. Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Rev. H. M. Mentzer, pastor of the Valley View Evangelical United Brethren Church officiated and interment was made in the Evangelical United Brethren Cemetery at Valley View.
