  • It is not clear who this Albert Boyer was, but it is possi ble that it was Albert D. Boyer, who was born in Valley View, PA, 27 Oct 1906, son of Daniel Boyer and Carrie Wolfgang Boyer, although he married Mildred A. Heller, 24 Dec. 1925, in Elizabethville, PA.
    His obtuary stated:
    Boyer Rites
    Services for Albert D. Boyer, 77, of 1121 W. Maple St., Valley View, who died Friday evening in Good Samaritan Hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. The Rev. Guy Grube will officiate. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Robert Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Boyer was born in Valley View, Oct. 27, 1906, a son of the late Daniel and Carrie Wolfgang Boyer.
    He was the retired proprietor of Boyer's Bowling Center, which he operated for 26 years. He was a carpenter for 10 years at Markson Colliery and before that was a bakery truck driver for 20 years.
    He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, where he was a Sunday school superintendent for 18 years. He was a former church council member, church secretary and served on the church's cemetery association.
    His Masonic affiliations were: past master of Swatara Lodge 267, Tremont, charter past master of Valley Lodge 797, Valley View, in which he also served as secretary; past high priest of Tremont Chapter 2221, member of Prince of Peace Commandry 39, Ashland, Royal Council 65, Minersville, Lodge Council Chapter Consistory of Valley of Williamsport, Zembo Temple, Harrisburg, Tall Cedars of Lebanon 125, Millersburg and Schuylkill Shrine Club.
    He was also a member of Junior Order of United American Mechanics, Easton.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Mildred Heller; two sons, Eugene, Aberdeen, Md., and Don, Larimie, Wyo; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Hoffman, Lykens, Martha Klinger, Valley View, and Edna Scheibley, Tremont; four brothers, Russell, Millersburg, William and Millard, both of Valley View, and Lee, Lebanon.
