    David R. Rhody Jr.
    David R. Rhody Jr., 40, of 2097 Weybridge Drive, Virginia Beach, Va., formerly of Muir, died Friday at his home.
    Born in Pottsville, Jan. 26, 1960, he was a son of David Sr. and Rose Ruch Rhody, Muir. He was a 1977 graduate of Williams Valley High School, Tower City.
    He enlisted in the Navy in 1977 and served as an aviation ordinanceman on aircraft carriers.
    He took time off from the Navy after his first tour of duty before enlisting and becoming a machinist mate, where he served on two carriers and a destroyer tender. He served as a recruiter in the Naval Recruit District, Harrisburg. His last tour was as security on little Creek Naval Amphibious Basei Va., during which he was put in charge of the Game War-, den position for the Little Creek Base and Camp Pendleton, Calif. He retired from the Navy in 1997.
    He was most recently employed as a corporal with the Department of Defense Police in the Security Directorate Mid-Atlantic Region.
    He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Orwin, Muir Fire Company, and was a board member of the National Resource Center, Virginia Beach, Va.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Lisa Garber, formerly of Williamstown; two daughters, Alicia Marie and Julia Ann Rhody, both at home; a brother, Steve, Williamstown; a sister, Jeanie Fessler, Pine Grove; maternal grandmother, Beatrice Ruch, Orwin; nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City. The Rev. Edward Gobrecht will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.

    Cletes M. Hoy, age 86, of 800 Fairlane Drive passed away on Monday, November 28th, 2016 at her residence.
    She was born in Millersburg the daughter of the late Harold and Sally Lenker Galer. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church in Millersburg, WOTM Chapter #1083 and supported the DAV.
    She was the widow of Robert E. Hoy and also preceded in death by a brother Harold Galer, Jr.
    Surviving are her son Rick Hoy of Millersburg; three sisters Donna Nelson and Linda Forney both of Millersburg, Cheryl Buffington of Dover, PA; her granddaughter Marissa Boyer of Millersburg; her great grandchildren Audrena and Brayden Boyer.
    The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am on Friday, December 2nd, 2016 at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg. Services will begin at 11 am. Burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville at the convenience of the family.
