    Jacob Edward Gingrich Sr. of Annville died on August 18, 2007. Born February 13, 1925, in Hummel-stown, one of eight children of Raymond Arthur Gingrich and Margie Lydia Scholl Gingrich.
    He was, along with his wife, the owner and operator of Eli and Gingrichs Fruit Farm in North Annville for the past 46 years.
    For 30 years Jacob and his wife made yearly trips to a Navajo Mission near Farmington, New Mexico, where they donated their help, support, farm produce to the mission and the Navajo children. They also delivered donated clothing and toys to the mission for the children.
    Jacob was a lifelong practicing participant of the Brethren religion. He was also a member of the Harris Ferry Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, Harrisburg.
    Jacob is survived by his wife, Gloria Mae Nye Gingrich with whom he recently celebrated 63 years of marriage; daughters, Gloria Belair, Palmyra, Linda Yohn, Hershey; sons Jacob Gingrich Jr., Annville, Daniel Gingrich, Annville; 11 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Early, Palmyra, Joy Houser, Palmyra, Arlene Plasterer, Louisa, Virginia.
    He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacalyn Schwalm; and grandson, Christopher Schwalm; his brother, Charles Raymond Gingrich; sisters, Caroline Arndt, Dorothy Drupp, and Janie Morris.
    A memorial service celebrating his life and accomplishments will be held at the First Baptist Church, 20 Linden Road, Lebanon, Pa., on Saturday, August 25, at 3 p.m.
    Auer Memorial Home and Cremation Services Inc. entrusted with arrangements.

    Robert E. Hoffman, 80, of 1054 Cornwall Road, Lebanon died Thursday June 21, 2012 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Pauline A. Unger Hoffman to whom he was married 57 years. Born in Pine Grove on August 19, 1931, he was the son of the late George and Emma Zimmerman Hoffman. He retired from the Chipper Department with the Lebanon Steel Foundry and then worked for PRL Industries, Cornwall. Bob was a Veteran of the Korean War and a 1950 graduate of Pine Grove High School. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon, Mt. Lebanon Lodge #226, F.&A.M., Lebanon, the Fredericksburg American Legion, Wine Making Club, Lebanon and was an avid hunter and roller skater. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters Cynthia wife of Harold G. “Chip” Schwalm, Jr. of Lebanon, Pamella wife of Bruce J. Gruenwald of Cleona, two grandchildren Stacy Hellenthal and Jennifer Hummer; three great grandchildren, a brother Carl Hoffman of Myerstown, a sister Janet Fidler of Pine Grove, a brother-in-law Lee Unger of Pine Grove, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Ernest Hoffman; a sister Grace Kreiser and one grandson H. Christopher Schwalm. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 12:30 PM from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Inurnment will be held with Full Military Honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:30AM-12:30 PM prior to the service. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17063 or GSH Dialysis, Inc., 440 Oak Street, Lebanon, PA 17042 in his memory.2

    Boyd E Gottshall, 88, of Herndon, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, Pitman.
    Boyd was born in Leck Kill, on April 3, 1930, a son of the late Freeman Gottshall and Lottie Schwalm and was raised by mother and step-father, Elwin Schwalm.
    He was preceded in death by his wife Violet (Schwalm) Gottshall.
    Boyd served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
    He was employed as a laborer for various companies and last worked at Creative Playthings.
    He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Urban for 63 years and was also a member of the I.O.O.F Mahanoy Lodge #551 of Dornsife.
    He enjoyed cooking for the Ten Dutchman Camp, spending time with family and helping Lee Schwalm butcher during deer season.
    Boyd is survived by a son,Terry Gottshall, of Herndon; three daughters, Donna, wife of Rick Houser, of Dornsife; Ann, wife of Dave Strohecker, of Lykens; Angie Strohecker, of Herndon; a step sister, Norma, wife of Marlin Bohner, of Dalmatia; 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a brother Daniel Schwalm
    Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 1:00PM -2:30 PM. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Urban where the funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM with Rev. John Miller officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul's U.C.C Cemetery, Urban.
