    Alice Snyder, 77, of Pitman passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at her home after a brief battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl J. Snyder; the couple married October 4, 1952.
    Born August 10, 1934 in Pitman she was a daughter of the late Franklin F. and Alice M. (Specht) Kehler. Alice graduated in 1952 from Hegins High School and worked side by side with her husband on the family dairy farm. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Pitman and was also a member of the Mahantongo Ladies Auxiliary.
    Alice liked all sports and enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s games and meets. She was an avid Penn State and JoePa fan and especially enjoyed watching the Phillies and Yankees. She enjoyed time with family and friends and playing pinochle.
    Her motto for life was; “It’s not about what you have. It’s about what you give.”
    Surviving are her husband Carl; one daughter, Beverly Lesher and her husband Paul of Pasadena, MD, four sons, Pastor Donald Snyder and his wife Tammy of Carlisle, Steve Snyder and his wife Melissa of Pitman, Mark Snyder and his wife Tammy of Hegins, Tracy Snyder and his wife Michele of Pitman, two sons-in-law, Randy Kroh and his wife Roxy of Ephrata, Dennis Rebuck of Hegins, 17 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, three sisters Margaret Hepler, Millie Stehr, Lois Heim, as well as nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by two daughters, Debra A. Kroh in 1994 and Carol J. Rebuck in 2006 and one sister Rheda Keller.
    Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 9-11 AM at Zion E.C. Church, Pitman where the funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Donald Snyder officiating. Interment will be in Zion E.C. Cemetery, Pitman.
    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Zion E.C. Church, C/O Dave Hummel 1536 Creek Road, Pitman, PA 17964 or the Circle of Friends Relay for Life Team, C/O Melissa or Michele Snyder, 14 Snyder Road, Pitman, PA 17964, to benefit the American Cancer Society.

    DOVER -- Donald E. Mummert, 48, Dover RD 3, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday at York Hospital.
    The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home Inc., 2290 School St., Shiloh. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens. The viewing will 9:30 a.m. until the service Monday at the funeral home.
    Mr. Mummert was born near Dover, a son of Lila (Fetrow) Mummert, Dover RD 3, and the late Vernon Mummert.
    He also is survived by three children, Susan L. Reynold and Donna J. Mummert, both of York, and David E. Hull, York New Salem; two brothers, Spurgeon and Gene Mummert, both of York; and three sisters, Helen Reichard, York, Judy Ruppert, Thomasville, and Connie Billet, Dover.
    The Rev. Elmer Q. Gleim, pastor of Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren, York, will conduct the service.

    MILLERSBURG- James E. Roach, Sr., age 75, of Millersburg passed away on Sunday June 5, 2015 at the Harrisburg Hospital.
    He was born on Aug. 22, 1940 in Standardsville, VA the son of the late Andrew and Carrie Roach.
    He was self employed in the housing industry, he enjoyed his family, nascar, hunting, his 1958 Chevy Impala and having coffee with his buddies at Lisi's in the morning.
    Surviving are his wife of 54 years Dorothy Malick Roach, four sons, James Roach, Jr. of Trevorton, Barry Roach, Sr. of Herndon, Todd Roach of Dalmatia and Brian Roach of Millersburg, a daughter Cheri Cosenza of West Chester, PA; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, a brother Charles; four sisters Thelma, Virginia, Lena and Edith all of Virginia.
    There will a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday June 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Millersburg American Legion.
