    Wayne Franklin Wise of Allentown, Pennsylvania, departed this life on the 29th day of July 2015. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Jeannette Ann (Dobil, Burdock) Wise.
    Wayne was born on July 27, 1931 in Elizabethville, Pennsylvania, and was the son of the late Daniel K. Wise and Mayme M. (Whitmayer) Wise. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Joanna R. Wise and Faye P. (Wise) Reed.
    Wayne was a loving, warm, caring and generous person, and an outstanding athlete. His warm smile, kind manners and ever thoughtfulness made him a true gentleman who will be missed deeply by all whose lives he touched.
    Wayne was a graduate of Chestnuthill High School in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania. After graduation, Wayne enlisted in the United States Navy on February 12, 1950. Wayne served over 8 months in Korea aboard the U.S.S. Missouri BB63. When he returned to the states, he went to Machinist Mates School at the Great Lakes Naval Station in Illinois and earned the rate of 3rd Class Machinist Mate. While in school, the Missouri went back to Korea and Wayne was transferred to a Heavy Cruiser the Pittsburgh CA72.
    As a well-rounded and ambitious young man, Wayne began a varied career that reflected his need to constantly challenge himself. After his discharge, he worked 1 year in construction for C.J. Langenfelder, driving Euclids building the Northeast Turnpike. Wayne then went to work for Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania in Stroudsburg, as a lineman and eventually joined their Sales Department in Allentown.
    From 1969 to 1978, Wayne owned and operated the Professional Telephone Answering Service in Bethlehem. From 1980 to 1988, Wayne worked for Greyhound and then went to work for Ramac Explosives as an "A" license blaster and finished the Blue Route in Philadelphia until his retirement in 1993. Not one to sit still, Wayne took a part-time job at the Willowbrook Golf Course from 1994 until 2002. While at Willowbrook, he met the love of his life, Jeannette, and they were married in 2004.
    An avid athlete, Wayne was a semi-professional baseball player and loved the game of golf was the 1981 Willowbrook Golf Course Club Champion.
    Survivors: Wayne is survived by: sisters, June Ott and her husband Harold and Shirley Snyder, brother, Daniel Wise and his wife Phyllis.
    Services: Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 4th 12:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St. Northampton. Family and friends may call Tuesday 11:00-12:00 p.m.
    Cremation and Interment will be handled by the Kresge Funeral Home in Brodheadsville, PA and will be private at the convenience of the family.
