    Lester Albert Wiest, 55, of 400 Pine St., Lykens, president of the Lykens Borough Authority, died Thursday at his home.
    Mr. Wiest, born in Lykens Township, was the son of Mrs. Dersa Leitzel Wiest, Lykens, and the late Gurney Wiest. He graduated from Lykens High School in 1928 and from the Pennsylvania State University in 1942. He was employed as a metallurgist at the Reiff and Nestor Lykens, and had been a teacher in Lykens High School. He-was a member of St. Christopher Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg Consistory, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Millersburg; Penn State Alumni Association, Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity, American Legion Post 124 and Liberty Hose Company No. 2, both of Ly Of Lykens kens and the Dauphin County Volunteer Firemen's Association. He was a past master of Ashlar Lodge 570 Free and Accepted Masons, Lykens. He was a World War II veteran.
    Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his widow, the former Melba Elizabeth Cox; two daughters, Susan E., Mechanicsburg; Jane L., Lancaster; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Schnieder, Eleanor Wiest, Mrs. Mildred Sierer, all of Lykens.
    Services will be held Monday morning from the John M. Schultz Funeral Home, Lykens, successor to Schaffstall and Shultz, with the Rev. Philip A. Lynch officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.

    Melba E. Wiest formerly of Lykens passed away Tuesday November 17, 2015 at the Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg, Pa. She was born March 9, 1922 at Williamstown, Pa to the late James A. and Lizzie Wiest Cox and was the wife of the late Lester A. Wiest. Melba was a 1939 graduate of the former Williamstown High School, a member of the Lykens United Methodist Church where she played the organ for 24 years, United Methodist Women, a life member of the Kings Daughter Sunday School Class, and a 50 year Life Member of The Glen Chapter No. 425 of Eastern Star of Lykens where she played the organ for 25 years. She is survived by daughters; Susan E. Wiest and Jane L. Forney and husband John, grandsons Arron and wife Erin Forney and Seth Forney, great grandchildren Hannah and Noah Forney. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Benjamin, James and Harper Cox. Funeral services will be held Saturday November 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. from the Lykens United Methodist Church, 527 North Second St., Lykens, Pa. with Rev. Lori A. Betsworth and Rev. Kevin Hughes officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown, Pa. Born in RD1 Lykens, she was a daughter of the late Gurney and Dersa Leitzel Wiest She was a graduate of Lykens High School and Shippensburg University. Retired, Wiest was a claim adjuster for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Harrisburg.
    She was a member of St. Christopher Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lykens, and the church's Lutheran Church Women and Altar Guild; Glen Chapter Order No. 425 Order of Eastern Star, Lykens, and member and volunteer of Order of Good Shepherd of Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg. Surviving are a sister, Mildred L. Sierer, Lykens; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Christopher Evangelical Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Daniel M. Shutters, her pastor.
    Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Pillow. John M. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, is in charge of arrangements.

    Snyder was a native of Malta, taking up residence at Pillow as a young man. He learned his trade as tombstone worker, and became widely known throughout the area. He is survived by his widow and four children

    George B. Snyder, 70, of Pillow, died suddenly Thursday morning at his home after being stricken with a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Snyder; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Bowman and Mrs. Frank Weist, both of Pillow; Mrs. Isaac Schroyer, Lykens, R. D; a son, John R. Snyder, Hershey, R. D; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
    Services will be held Monday at 2 p. mc at the home with further services in the Lutheran Church, Pillow. The Rev. Walter E. Wagner, will officiate.

    Mrs. Snyder was a daughter of John A. and Mary (Heckert) Snoke and was a native of Millersburg. Her husband, George B. Snyder, preceded her in death several years ago.
    Mrs. Snyder was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Malta.
    Survivors are one son, John R. Snyder, Harrisburg R. D. 3; two daughters, Mrs. Herman Snyder, Lykens R. D., and Mrs. Jennie I. Bowman, Pillow; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mamie Crozier.
    Services were held from the Marlin S. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon. Rev. John Weikel, pastor of the Stone Valley Lutheran Parish officiated and interment was made in Grandview Cemetery at Pillow.
