    Eleanor E Roadcap, age 90, of Millersburg, formerly of Spring Glen, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at The Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.
    She was born on Sunday, June 6, 1926, in Lykens Twp, a daughter of the late William H Umholtz and the late Lena R. Umholtz.
    She was a 1944 graduate of the former Hubley Twp High School.
    Eleanor had assisted her husband in the operation of the former Roadcap Trucking and Roadcap Dodge, Spring Glen.
    She was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz.
    Eleanor was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lykens. She was a former member of the Simeon United Lutheran Church Choir.
    Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were a grandson Derrick B Roadcap; two brothers, Kenneth Umholtz and George Umholtz; and a sister, Marie Conrad.
    She is survived by her husband Ward Roadcap, Jr, to whom she was married for 72 years.
    She is also survived by three sons, Karl K Roadcap and his wife Barbara of Spring Glen, Gary L Roadcap and his wife Ellen of Jonestown, and Steven C Roadcap and his wife Connie of Elkview, WV; a daughter, Carol A Klinger and her husband Dale of Gratz; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held at Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Gregory Lindsey and Rev. Robert Logan officiating.
    A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church.
    Burial will be made in Union Cemetery, Gratz.
    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Simeon United Lutheran Church. P.O. Box 478, Gratz, PA 17030 or to Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 115, Harrisburg PA 17110.

    Harvey E. Troutman, 78, of Herndon died Tuesday in the Harrisburg Hospital.
    He was born July 16, 1910, a son of the late John E. and Polly (Hoke) Troutman.
    He retired in 1971 from the Pennsylvania Department of Highways after more than 25 years of service. He was a superintendent of highways in Northumberland County.
    Mr. Troutman was a member of David's United Church, Jordan Charge, Hebe; Patriotic Order of Sons of America, Camp 232; Herndon Lodge Free and Accepted Masons; Harrisburg Consistory; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite; Dalmatia Area Ambulance League; and the Lower Northumberland Motor Club, where he was a member for 45 years.
    He is survived by his wife, Carrie Violet Troutman; four sons, Wayne R. of Middletown, Alfred L. of Dornsife, Darvin E. of Klingerstown and Kenneth D. of Montoursville; three sisters, Mamie Wilson of Carlisle, Erma DeWees of Lenkerville and Daisy Williard of Klingerstown; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
    The funeral will be conducted at the convenience of the family by the Rev. George Heberling. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Herndon RD. The Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, is making arrangements.

    HERNDON -- Carrie Violet Troutman, 80, of RR1 Herndon, died Monday, Nov. 11, 1996, at the Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital.
    She was born Nov. 7, 1916, at RR Herndon, a daughter of the late Joel and Hattie (Schlegel) Kratzer. Her husband, Harvey E. Troutman, preceded her in death.
    Mrs. Troutman was a homemaker.
    She was a member of St. David's United Church of Christ, Hebe. Surviving are four sons, Wayne R. of Wrightsville, Alfred L. of RR Herndon, Darvin E. of Klingerstown and Kenneth D. of Montoursville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Leitzel and Mary Troutman, both of Millersburg and Grace Renninger of Schuylkill Haven; and one brother, John Kratzer of Dalmatia.

    Alice E. Henry 79 of Spring Township and formerly of Mohnton died Saturday morning in her residence. Alice was the "cheerleader" for the family attending all sporting events for her children and grandchildren. Family was central to her life. She was very proud of her grandchildren. She enjoyed her home and gardening. She was a kind and gentle person who was loved by all. She enjoyed cooking and was an ardent skilled artistic crafter.
    Alice was the wife of Lynwood D. Henry. They shared a loving marriage of sixty-one and a half years. She was born in Gratz, PA, Dauphin County. She was the daughter of the late Charles O. and Helen (Steely) Klinger
    Surviving in addition to her husband are her children; Kurt L. husband of Christine A. Henry of Wernersville, Robin L. wife of James R. Lash of Fleetwood, Roger L. husband of Kathleen L. Henry of Mohnton, and Lisa L. wife of John E. Kowalczyk of Downingtown.
    Her precious grandchildren; Austin Henry, Tyler Henry, Alex Kowalczyk, Anna Kowalczyk, Garrett Henry, Phillip Henry, and Copper Henry. A great granddaughter, Adelynn Henry.
    She, also, is survived by two brothers and a sister; Carl Klinger of Venice, FL, Irene Asp of Beachwood, WI. and Mark Klinger of Tonto Basin, AZ.
    She was a member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Mohnton
    Alice retired in 1998 as a trainer with twenty-five years service from Alcon Research, LTD, Sinking Spring.

    Lynwood D. Henry, 83, of Mohnton, died Thursday evening in Phoebe Berks, South Heidelberg Township.
    He was the widower of Alice E. (Klinger) Henry, who died April 29, 2017. Married in 1955, they enjoyed a loving marriage of sixty-one and one-half years.
    Lynwood was born on September 20, 1935, in Cumru Township. He was the son of the late Delroy M. and Lillian J. (Ludwig) Henry.
    Surviving are his children: Kurt L., husband of Christine A. Henry, of Wernersville, Robin L., wife of James R. Lash, of Fleetwood, Roger L., husband of Kathleen L. Henry, Mohnton, and Lisa L., wife of John E. Kowalczyk, of Downingtown; grandchildren: Austin Henry, Tyler Henry, Alex Kowalczyk, Anna Kowalczyk, Garrett Henry, Phillip Henry and Cooper Henry; two great-grandchildren, Adelynn and Julianna Henry; a brother, Terry D., husband of Mary Henry, of Bensalem.
    A brother, Allen, died in 1988.
    Lynwood was an active member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Mohnton, serving as head trustee and usher. He was a graduate of the former Mohnton High School in the Class of 1953. Lynwood scored fifty-one points--the highest ever scored in a basketball game at this alma mater. After graduating from high school he received a basketball scholarship to Albright College but was drafted by the Cleveland Indians where he played 1953 thru 1955. Lynwood umpired baseball in the Lebanon Valley American Legion League. He coached baseball for the Shillington American Legion with his son, Kurt, from 1981-1985.
    As a hobby he enjoyed hunting at his camp in Dushore, Sullivan County. He also enjoyed attending all his grandchildren's sporting events and was their number one supporter. He enjoyed playing golf. He was a former
    member of the Mohnton Lions Club. He had been employed for thirty years as a salesman by Glen Grey Brick Inc.
    Funeral services from Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, 57 North Church Street, Mohnton, PA 19540 on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Robert W. Shuey officiating. Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
