    Mrs. Minnie M. Eash Klinger, 87, of Stoystown RD 2 died Jan. 2, 1973, in Berlin. Born April 15, 1885, in Somerset County a daughter of William and Julia (Lape) Berkebile. Preceded in death by parents, her first husband, Irvin Eash, and second husband, George Klinger, three brothers, two sisters and one step-son. Survived by the following children: Mrs. John (Gladys) Stumbaugh of Chambersburg; Mrs. Tony (Evelyn) Strasiser of Kantner; and Mrs. Carl (Ruby)Meyers of Stoystown RD 2, these step-children: George Klinger of Elizabethville; Mrs. Luella Umberger of Wisconisce; and Mrs. Violet Shuey of Tower City; and Mrs. Mark (Vivian) Adams of Tower City;14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. A sister of Mrs. Maude Gray of Pasadena, Md; and Mrs. Leroy Wheeler of Somerset. A member of the Kantner United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Charles H. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. J. R. Peterson officiating.Interment, Otterbein Cemetery.

    Vernon L. Klinger, 82, of Tower City, passed away Thursday afternoon at Heritage Mill Personal Care Home, Tower City.
    Born in Wiconisco, May 1, 1930, he was a son of the late Mary Mertz Klinger.
    He was a graduate of Tower City High School. He was a Navy veteran.
    Vernie was a retired mechanic, having owned his own business, Klinger's Korner, Tower City, for more than 50 years.
    Vernon was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.
    In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Jean O'Neill Klinger, on Dec. 20, 2012; a son Kenneth L., in 2006; two brothers, George and Earl Klinger; three sisters, Vivian Adams, Luella Umberger and Violet Shuey.
    Surviving are three daughters, Carole A. Klinger, Harrisburg, Karen J. Klinger, New Cumberland, and Kay M. Livelsberger, Mount Joy; two sons, Carl L. Klinger and Chris V. Klinger, both of Tower City; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City, with the Rev. Edward Gobrecht officiating.     Jean M. Klinger, 79, of Tower City, passed away Thursday at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
    Born in Lykens, Oct. 25, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Nicklo O'Neill.
    Jean attended the former Lykens High School.
    She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christian Catholic Church, Lykens, and a former member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tower City.
    Her life revolved around her family and helping others.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth L., in 2006; two brothers, James and Robert O'Neill.
    Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Vernon L; three daughters, Carole A. Klinger, Harrisburg, Karen J. Klinger, New Cumberland, and Kay M. Livelsberger, Mount Joy; two sons, Carl L. Klinger and Chris V. Klinger, both of Tower City; a sister, Mary Jane Heim, Orwin; two brothers, John "Jack" O'Neill, Maryland, and Joseph O'Neill, Florida; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady Help of Christian Church, Lykens, with the Rev. C. Anthony Miller as the celebrant. Interment will be in the Irish Catholic Cemetery, Lykens. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Catholic Charities, 4800 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg PA 17111. Dimon Funeral Homes Inc., Tower City, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
