    ELIZABETHVILLE- Charles M. Wertz, age 72, of West Main Street, Pennsylvania passed away May 23, 2020, at home. He was born on October 15, 1947 in Harrisburg, son of the late Charles C. and Marion E. (Underkoffler) Wertz. He was a retired truck driver of 47 years. He had began his trucking career in 1972 as Metal Industries first truck driver. He retired in 2018 with Pine Creek Structures. He attended the Calvary Church of the Nazarene., Williamsport, PA Life member (1965) of the Elizabethville Reliance Hose Co#1, and Life Member (2003) of the Berrysburg & Community Fire Co. Between both fire companies he had served many positions throughout the years. He was also a longtime member of the Fire Police. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting Windross Trucks, traveling throughout the country and going to camp in Clearfield County. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren grow up, and being with his Amish friends. Charles is survived by his wife of 43 years, Christine (Easter) Wertz at home. 2 Sons, Charles S. Wertz, Elizabethville and Nicholas R. Wertz (Tracy Zimmerman), Halifax and a daughter, Tammy Ann (Stephen) Micklo, Pine Grove; Grandchildren, Jacqueline M. (Daniel) Wertz, Allison N. Wertz (Nathaniel Melroy), Charles J. Wertz, Sunbury, Julianna E. Hoke, Willow M. Wertz, and Stephen C. Micklo; Great Grandchildren, Aisley, Elijah, Stella and Willow. The family requests that donations to off set funeral costs be made to: Minnich Family Funeral Homes, Inc, PO Box 386, Elizabethville, PA 17023 There will be a visitation at 435 Mountain Road, Elizabethville on Monday, June 1, 2020 from 4-5 PM with a service starting at 5 PM.     WICONISCO - Charles S. Wertz, age 55, died suddenly March 12, 2024 in Berrysburg, PA.
    He was born on January 26, 1969 in Harrisburg, PA the son of [the late] Charles M. Wertz and Linda(Klinger) Feltmate.
    Charles was a man of many skills including welding, landscaping, and farm work. As well as being a dedicated volunteer firefighter. He had a great knowledge of History and enjoyed collecting World War II memorabilia. Charles enjoyed hiking, kayaking, camping, rock-hounding, geocaching and traveling with his Timber Friends. Charles loved spending time with friends and family and the companionship of his pets "Little Buddy" (his cat) and "Toby" (his dog). Charles will be remembered for his storytelling jokes and ability to befriend almost anyone.He is survived by his mother, Linda (Douglas) Feltmate, Wiconisco; His children Jacqueline (Daniel) Wertz, Quakertown, Allison Wertz (Nathanael Melroy) Quakertown, Charles J. Wertz (Emily Hare) Sunbury, brother, Nicholas Wertz and his niece Willow, Halifax, and four grandchildren Aisley, Elijah, Stella, and willow. In addition to his many friends. Charles was preceded in death by his father Charles M. Wertz as well as his long time partner Christina Troup McAndrew.
    The family will have a private burial and a memorial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
