    FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT DIES AT HEPLER
    Oscar Knorr, Who Conducted Livery Stable Here, Succumbs After Long Illness
    Oscar F. Knorr, 71, former resident of this city, is dead at his home at Hepler. He died after an extensive illness.
    Mr. Knorr was a farmer in the Mahantonga Valley where he was born and raised but for some years operated the livery stable of the Central House at Ashland. For some years he also operated a livery stable in Shamokin and was greatly interested in horses.
    He was a man of fine character and his associations throughout this section made him well known not only in the Mahantonga Valley but in Ashland, Shamokin and intermediate towns as well.
    His wife died 32 years ago.
    Surviving are two sons, Allen of Paxinos, and Herb of Leckhill; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Fetterolf of Hepler, Mrs. Earl Hornung of La-velle, and .Florence at home; 19 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
    One brother, Ellsworth of Allentown and one sister, Mrs. Celia Conrad of Philadelphia also survive.
    The funeral services will be held from the home of Elmer Fetterolf at Hepler at ten o'clock Wednesday morning to which friends and relatives are invited . Interment will follow in the Howitter cemetery in the Mahantonga Valley.
