    Austin W. Coleman, age 75 years, died at his home near Gratz, on Monday.
    Mr. Coleman was a son of the late Jacob J. and Sallie (Lenker) Coleman, and was born in Lykens Township May 20, 1883. He was a member of Simeon's Lutheran Church, Gratz, and1 Gratz-town Lodge No. 563, I. O. O. F.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Buella Klinger Coleman; three sons and four daughters: Mark and Robert Coleman of Gratz; Charles Coleman, Harrisburg; Hida. Mrs. Lee Fleeeal.,Sarah, Mrs. Russell Lenker, of Harrisburg; Ethel, Mrs. Howard Lebo of Adelphia, Maryland, and Ruth, Mrs. Howard Lebo of Lititz.
    Other survivors are fourteen grandchildren, one brother, Raymond J. Coleman of Lebanon, and a sister, Mrs. Anne Shurman, of Harrisburg.
    Services will be held from the Marlin S. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, at 2 :00 o'clock Friday afternoon. Rev. W. Z. Artz of Elizabethville, pastor of the Lykens Valley Lutheran Parish will officiate, and interment will be in the Gratz Cemetery.

    Services for Mark Austin "Mac" Coleman, 91, of 1 Theatre Lane, Gratz, who died Tuesday at home, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Simeons United Lutheran Church, Gratz. The Rev. Barry Ridge will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Gratz. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
    Born in Lykens Township, Oct. 13, 1912, he was a son of the late Austin and Buella Klinger Coleman.
    He retired as a maintenance foreman at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville. He was also a carpenter and farmer.
    He was a member of Simeons United Lutheran Church, Erdman Sports Association, lifetime member of Gratz Fire Company and former member of Lykens Township Grange. He was a former Lykens Township judge of elections for more than 30 years.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles J; a sister, Ruth Lebo.
    Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Evelyn Meadows; a son, Mark E., Gratz; a daughter, Linda D.     Evelyn Meadows Coleman, 93, of Gratz, passed away Thursday at the home of her daughter in Strasburg, Va.
    Born Feb. 19, 1920, in Shady Springs, WVa., she was a daughter of the late William "Billy" and Bessie L. Meadows.
    She was a graduate of Shady Springs High School and Beckley College, where she majored in business. Upon graduation, she moved to Baltimore, Md., where she worked at the Glenn L. Martin Airplane factory as an airplane inspector in support of the war effort on the B-26 Bomber.
    There she met her husband, Mark "Mac" Coleman, and they were married in Baltimore on Nov. 20, 1943.
    After the war, they lived in California and then moved to Harrisburg, where Evelyn was a homemaker and Mac worked in construction. From there, they eventually settled in Gratz, operating a chicken farm.
    Evelyn was very active at Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, teaching Sunday School, Bible School and writing for the church newsletter.
    Evelyn will also be remembered as the money collector, ID checker and bouncer during the many years she helped at her son's establishment, "The Fuzzy Bunny" She enjoyed meeting and talking to younger generations and will truly be missed.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, "Mac," in 2003; brother, Flannie Meadows; sister, Erdene Shafer; and two foster brothers, Alton and Gary Workman.
    Surviving are a daughter, Linda D. Atwell and her husband, Gene, Strasburg; son, Mark E. Coleman and his wife, Lisa, Gratz; two grandsons, Curt E. Atwell, Richmond, Va., and Mark T. Coleman and his wife, Abbe, Camp Hill; great-grandchild, Lillian N. Atwell, Strasburg; sister-in-law, Annie Coleman, Stamford, NY; nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Simeon United Lutheran Church, 173 N. Center St., Gratz. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Martine Joseph officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Gratz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Simeon Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 478, Gratz, PA 17030. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.     Sarah E. "Sally" Beck, 92 of Carlisle and formerly of Colonial Park, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
    Born June 12, 1917 in Gratz, PA, a daughter of the late Austin W. and Beulah Klinger Coleman and the widow of Russell Lenker and William E. Beck.
    Mrs. Beck retired from the Commonwealth of PA with the Department of Community Affairs after 10 years and retired from Nationwide Insurance Co., Harrisburg after 20 years of service. She was past-secretary and member of the Ladies of the Elks, Carlisle. Member of the First United Church of Christ, Carlisle and a former member of the Paxton Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg. Sarah will be greatly missed by her family and friends whom she loved so much.
    Surviving are a son, Donald R. Lenker and his wife Patricia, Woodstock, VA, three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael and Meredith, five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Charles and Mark A. Coleman and three sisters, Ethel Gurtz, Ruth Lebo and Hilda Fleegal.
    Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Jonathan Doty officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
