    HALIFAX - William Carl Kessler, age 84, of Mountain House Road, Halifax, died February 4, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was born on August 7, 1939 in Lykens Township, the son of [the late]George and Annie (Martz) Kessler.
    Bill was a US Army Veteran, and served during the Vietnam War.
    He had retired after over 40 years working at Johnson-Bailie Shoe Co., Millersburg.
    Bill enjoyed the company of family and friends and was a life member of the Gratz VFW Post 2385.
    He is survived by his Sons, Frank (Erique) Klinger, Halifax, and Scottie Miller, Lykens Twp; Grandchildren, Grace, Grant, Owen, and Landon Klinger; Great Grandchildren, Camryn and Scarlet.
    He was preceded in death by brothers, John, Robert and Harlen; Sisters, Eleanor Latsha, and Mae Schreffler.
    There will be a memorial service held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Military Honors will precede the service.

    GEORGE E. KESSLER
    George E. Kessler, age 41 years, died at his home at Erdman, Monday. He was a lifelong resident of that community and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Erdman.
    He was a son of Charles Henry and Mary (Erdman) Kessler and was born at Erdman July 30, 1899.
    Survivors are his wife, who was formerly Miss Annie Martz, and the following children: Mae, Mrs. Ray Schreffler and John Kessler, of Erdman; Robert, Harlan, Eleanor, and William, all at home. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Ellen Umholtz, and ten brothers, Oscar, Charles, Moses, Sinary, Harry, Luther, and Ezra Kessler, all of Erdman; Lloyd Kessler, of Arizona; William Kessler, of Shamokin; and Guy Kessler, of Tower City.
    Funeral services will be held from the residence at 10:00 o'clock Saturday morning, with further services in Zion Lutheran Church at Erdman. The pastor, Rev. Dr. D. I. Sultzbach, will officiate, and interment will be in the cemeery adjoining the church.

    The family will be greeting friends from 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc, Elizabethville on Tuesday , December 4, 2012, followed by a gathering at Jean's home for sharing memories. Inurnment at Riverview Memorial Gardens private and at the families convenience.
