    LYKENS - Beatrice E. "Dolly" Klinger, age 84, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at The Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.
    Dolly was born April 27, 1924 in Wiconisco, daughter of the late Earl and Margaret Orr Wert and was the wife of the late Ray W. "Bill" Klinger, who passed away April 30, 2005.
    She is survived by 2 sons, William Klinger of Wiconisco, and Kirk Klinger of Lykens; a daughter, Darla Heber of Clearfield, Utah; a sister, Ruby Lilly of Lemoyne; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 30th at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with Pastor Carl E. Slough officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
    If you desire, to go to Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in procession, please be at the John R. Shultz Funeral Home, 406 Market Street, Lykens, Tuesday, December 30th at 10 a.m.

    Darla Jean Klinger Heber, 76, Syracuse, Utah, passed away Sunday, her favorite day of the week, July 26, 2020. Darla was born August 23, 1943, Wiconisco, Pennsylvania to Ray William Klinger and Beatrice Elaine Klinger. Growing up with her brothers Bill and Kirk Klinger, she often shared fond stories of their family life and adventures. As a young women she was social and active, reflected by being a cheerleader, band majorette, on the girls high school basketball team, straight A student, and crowned beauty queen in her hometown at the age of 16. Throughout her life she expressed love for many forms of art, in particular music and dancing, and found a true gift in sketching, painting, and crocheting.
    Darla was an intelligent, jovial, strong willed woman, whose faith in God brought about many miracles in her life and that of her children. As a single young mother of two, she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in faith journeyed from Pennsylvania alone with her children on a train to be with the saints in Utah. Here she met and married her beloved Vernon Eugene Heber January 26, 1973, Utah.
    When it came to others, she carried a true and pure gift of love and kindness to all no matter their background or station in life. Throughout her life, personally and professionally, she effortlessly and often donated the best of her time and resources to those immersed in challenging or in less than fortunate circumstances.
    She had many talents and enjoyed many hobbies, in particular culinary acumen, crocheting for family and members of her ward, painting, humor, and was very well read. She often expressed that her greatest love was her children and motherhood, which shined throughout her life. The principles and values she taught her children will live on through many generations to come.
    Darla is survived by her six children: Belinda Lang, Robert Heber, Tessie (Kirk) Miya, Ann (Kurt) Browning, Allison (Wade) Olcott, Brent (Trisha) Heber, 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, her brothers Bill (Marie) Klinger and Kirk Klinger.
    Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon E. Heber, November 2006, and her parents Ray William Klinger and Beatrice Elaine Klinger.
    MEMORIAL: Due to COVID-19 considerations, please wear a mask, conduct hand hygiene, social distance, and refrain from personal contact during all in-person services. Thank you!
    Funeral services will be held Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park, Bluffdale, Utah.
    Live streaming of the service will also be available through www.lindquistmortuary.com at the bottom of Darla's obituary page for those who would like to attend remotely.

    HARRY KLINGER
    Mr. Harry Klinger, 53, died at his home on North Second street, Monday, following several months' illness. Mr. Klinger recently was hospitalized in the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, and returned home on Thursday.
    He was born in Gratz and was the son of Mrs. Amelia Klinger, North Second street, and the late Calvin Klinger, and was married to the former Tessie Stahl, of Mil lersburg. He was employed for many years at the Army Depot, Middletown.
    Mr. Klinger was a member of the American Legion, having served during World War I. He enlisted November 31, 1917, and was attached to the 310th Field Artillery. He served overseas with the AEF from July 14, 1918 until May 26, 1919, and was discharged June 2, 1919 at Camp Dix, N. J.
    He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Doris, Mrs. Alfred Hain; two sons, Mark and William, Lykens; three grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Amelia Klinger; four brothers, Francis, John, Carlos and Richard, all of Lykens; four sisters, Miss Kate Klinger and Mrs. Vera Schreffler, at home; Mrs. Flora Dunlap, Oaks, and Mrs. Grace Lloyd, Pottstown.
    Funeral services were held from the Reiff and Helt funeral home. Main street, Thursday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Ralph Harrity, pastor of Christ Reformed Church. officiating. Burial took place in the Wiconisco cemetery.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Jane Shoener and her husband Terry, Selingsgrove; Ann Louise Scheuer and her husband Richard, New Ringgold; a son, John Schlitzer and his wife Diane, Mohnton; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sister, Joan Wellner, Bethlehem and Barbara Lombel, Millsville, Del; nieces and nephews.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11AM from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville with Rev. David J. Loeper as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10-11AM Wednesday at the church. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Salvation Army PO Box 107. Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be in St. John No. 2 Cemetery, Pottsville. Arrangements are under the care of James B. Humphrey, F.D., James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
