    Eugene Erdman
    Eugene W. Erdman, 50, of Herndon RD, died Sunday in Danville Hospital, where he had been a patient two years.
    Born in Klingerstown RD, he was 50 son of Mrs. .Mabel (Wolfgang) Erdman of Spring Glen and the late William Erdman.
    He was a member of the Klingerstown Fire Company, was a farmer and also had been employed as a miner.
    Surviving with his mother are his wife, the former Bertha Lenig; seven sons, Jay, Herdon, RD; Dennis, Dornsife RD; and Charles, Barry , Glenn, Dale and Eugene Jr., all at home; one daughter, Mrs. William Wolfe, of Lansdale; two grandchildren.
    Also surviving are five brothers and three sisters: Guy Erdman, Klingerstown RD; Jay and Kenneth Erdman, Valley View; Leo Erdman, Spring Glen; Clair Erdman, Gratz; Mrs. Marlin Rockwell, Ashland; Mrs. Merlin Derck, Herndon RD; Mrs. Elmer Reinoehl, Klingerstown RD.
    Funeral 10:30a.m. Wednesday from the Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingertown RD. Rev. Myron Lindow, pastor of Grace Community Church, Herndon, will officiate. Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. Visitation at the funeral home Tuesday evening.

    Bertha I. Erdman, 84, of 281 Erdmans Farm Road, Herndon, died Monday at the Sunbury Community Hospital, where she had been a patient since June 4, 2009.
    Born in West Cameron on April 23, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Laura Derck Lenig.
    On May 11, 1942, she married Eugene W. Erdman, who preceded her in death June 27, 1971.
    She was educated in West Cameron Township schools.
    Bertha was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking. She loved her family and grandchildren and especially enjoyed their visits.
    She attended Christ Community Church at Dornsife.
    Surviving are a daughter, Patsy Wolfe, Dornsife; five sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Jean Erdman, Barry and Dorothy Erdman, Dennis and Wanda Erdman, Glenn and Connie Erdman and Dale and Dee Erdman, all of Herndon, and daughter-in-law, Shirley Erdman Morgan, wife of Fayne Morgan, Dornsife; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty, wife of Charles Paul, and Madeline, wife of James Wiest, all of West Cameron; a brother, James, husband of Mildred Lenig, West Cameron; nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene Erdman Jr., in 1980, and Jay Erdman, in 1998.
    A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday in Christ Community Church, 1329 Schwaben Creek Road, Dornsife, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. The Rev. Larry Baney will officiate. Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park at Stonington. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Christ Community Church Memorial Fund, 1329 Schwaben Creek Road, Dornsife, PA 17823. Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, has charge.
