    Schwalm Rites
    Services for Meda M. Schwalm, 86, of Elm Street, Valley View, who died Friday night in her home, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday from Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View. The Rev. Dr. Donald Fishel will officiate. Interment will be in Zion Church Cemetery, Erdman, Lykens area.
    She was born in Klingerstown, June 2, 1899, a daughter of the late Albert and Barbara Clark Schwalm.
    She was a member of St Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. Her husband, William H., died in 1980. She was preceded in death by a son, Leon, in January, three daughters, Helen, in 1980, Annice, in 1979 and Lorraine in 1926.
    Surviving are two sons, William, Hatboro, and Bruce, Leola; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Tillie Schwalm, Klingerstown.

    SPRING GLEN - Ira I. Schwalm, 73, of Spring Glen, died Wednesday in Pottsville General Hospital.
    He was born, July 31, 1909, a son of the late Albert and Barbara Clark Schwalm. He was married to Mildred Rothermel Schwalm, who survives.
    He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Paul of Valley View, Mark of Spring Glen Star Route, and Roy of Broad Channel, N. Y; a brother, Guy of Klingerstown RD; two sisters, Meda of Valley View, and Tillie of Klingerstown RD; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman, by the Rev. Merlin Sjoberg. Burial will be in Klinger's Cemetery, Erdman. Friends may call in the Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, this evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

    JOHN SCHWALM
    John A. Schwalm, age 54 years, of Klingerstown R. D., died in a Pottsville hospital on Saturday.
    A son of the late Albert and Barbara (Clark) Schwalm, he was born at Klingerstown January 25, 1907.
    He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Lykens Township, and the Klingerstown Fire Company.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Klinger Schwalm; four children, Mrs. William Lentz of Dalmatia R. D; Lawrence, of Elizabethville; Leroy, of Klingerstown, and Norma, at home; and six grandchildren.
    Also surviving are two brothers, Walter Schwalm of Klingerstown R. D; Ira Schwalm, of Spring Glen; and four sisters, Mrs. Harlan Heim of Dornsife, R. D; Miss Tillie Schwalm, Klingerstown R. D., Mrs. Jacob Schlegel and Mrs. William Schwalm both of Valley View.
    Services were held from Zion United Church of Christ at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday af ternoon. The pastor, Rev. Joseph Heiney officiated and interment was made in the church cemetery.
