    MIDDLETOWN Earl M. Oxenrider, 92, formerly of RR 1, Klingerstown, Herndon, and Warminster, died Friday morning, Dec. 25, 1998, at Middletown Home, Middletown, where he resided since Sept. 8, 1994.
    He was born May 19, 1906. in Rough & Ready, a son of the late Henry and Hannah "Lizzie" (Stiely) Oxenrider.
    He was a retired farmer, saw mill operator, and was last employed by Creative Playthings, Herndon, prior to retiring in 1971.
    He attended Stine School at Rough & Ready.
    Mr. Oxenrider was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross.
    He was a member of Mahanoy Lodge No. 551, Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) of Dornsife, a member and past Noble Grand of the former Eureka Lodge No. 260 1.O.O.F. of Leck Kill, where he held all the offices since joining the Lodge on April 2, 1927. He was a member and past president of the Tri-County Past Grands Association who selected him as Odd Fellow of the Year in 1992. He had also served as past District Deputy Grand master. He was former trustee and member of the board of directors of the I.O.O.F. Home, known as the Middletown Home at Middletown.
    He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
    Surviving are three sons, Willard E. of RR 1, Lykens, Ray H. of RR 3, Sunbury, and Dean H. of Herndon; four daughters, B. Arlene Hoffman and Rita Ryan, both of Warminster, Mary McPherson of Mount Laurel, N.J., and Linda Hershey of Sewell, N.J; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; two nieces and two nephews.
    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, by the Rev. Glen B. Keidel, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, RR 1, Klingerstown.
    Visitors, may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday; at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, RR 1 Klingerstown, where the Mahanoy Lodge No. 551 Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Dornsife will conduct services at 8 p.m., at the funeral home, or from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday, at the funeral home.

    Henry A. Oxenrider, retired farmer, died this morning at 7 o'clock at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Floyd . Klinger, Klingerstown, R. D. He was 70 years of age.
    Mr. Oxenrider has suffered with arthritis for several years and was confined to bed most of the summer. His wife, the former Lizzie Steely, preceded him in death 36 years ago.
    Surviving is a son, Earl, of Klingerstown, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. from the Rothermel funeral home at Klingerstown and continued in the Salem Lutheran and Reformed church. Rev. W. H. Marburger, Lutheran minister will officiate, and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
