Mabel "Mem" H. Starr, 97, formerly of Klingerstown and Georgetown Heights Apartments passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Premier at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg, where she had been a resident since 2017
Mabel was born in Pitman, on March 20, 1923, a daughter of the late Lizzie (Rebuck) and Victor Y. Reiner.
She attended the Pine Park High School and worked in several local garment factories, Muskin Shoe Factory and Mandata Poultry.
She was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready, Klingerstown
Mabel's family was the most important aspect of her life. She enjoyed cooking family meals, gardening, canning, playing cards and quilting.
Mabel is survived by a a son,Dennis, husband of Cindy Starr, of Fearnot, daughter, Christine, wife of James Gessner, of Leck Kill; 8 Grandchildren, Randyl Wedde, Stephen Miller, Barbara Huntsinger, LaRee Hoffman, Troy Starr, Peggy Snyder, and Curtis and Benjamin Gessner; 8 great grandchildren, Kirby Huntsinger, Joel Miller, Kari King, Morganne Starr, Tyler Starr, Hilary Snyder, Sara Hoffman, Darryl Crouthermel; 8 great great grandchildren, Julia and Brennan Huntsinger, Carson and Caroline King, Willow and Briar Miller, Violet and Iris Crouthermel, as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell W Starr, who passed away December 7, 1994; two daughters, Marie Miller and Beverly Wedde; two sisters, Katie Reiner and Ruby Mullen; four brothers Charles, Daniel, Harry, and John Reiner; and her companion Clarence (Quelly) Brosious.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held when such gatherings are permissible.
The family wishes to thank her special nurse, April Kroh and the caregivers of Premier at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg for their care and support over the past 3 years.

     Dennis E. Starr was born on 20 September 1945, Rough and Ready, Schuylkill County, PA.2,3 He was the son of Russell Woodrow Starr and Mabel Hanna Reiner.1 Dennis E. Starr and Joan Marie Kline obtained a marriage license in April 1964.4 Dennis E. Starr married Joan Marie Kline, daughter of Clayton Franklin Kline and Helen Vesta Erdman.5 Dennis E. Starr died on 18 June 2020, Fearnot, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 74.3

Dennis E Starr, age 74, of Fearnot, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at his residence..
He was born on Thursday, September 20, 1945, in Rough and Ready, a son of the late Russell W Starr and the late Mabel H Reiner Starr.
He was a 1963 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
He was a Sergeant in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Dennis retired from Honeywell, Mar Lin, in 2001.
He was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready.
He was also a lifetime member of Gratz VFW Post 2385.
Dennis loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two sisters, Marie Miller and Beverly Wedde.
He is survived by his wife Cindy J Gilbert Starr, to whom he was married for twenty-nine years.
He is also survived by a son, Troy D Starr and his wife Georgina of Valley View; a grandson, Tyler C Starr of Valley View; a granddaughter, Morganne C Starr of Asheville, NC; a sister, Christine Gessner and her husband James of Leck Kill; and several nieces and nephews.
Following Dennis's request, there will be no services.
