Edna M. Miller, 83, of 411 Third St., New Cumberland, died yesterday in Camp Hill Care Center, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a retired beautician and a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland, and the New Cumberland Golden Agers and Senior Citizens.
Surviving are her husband, Lester M. Miller; three sisters, Mary Gruver of New Cumberland, Marian Kirby of Pottstown, and Ruth Smyser of Linglestown; and several nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in her church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial .Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Stone & Murray Funeral Home, New Cumberland, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church.

     Michael Paul Scheib was born on 6 November 1956, Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA.³ He was the son of Paul Edward Scheib and Clarita Bertha Blyler.¹ Michael Paul Scheib and an unknown person were divorced on 23 August 1994.⁴ He died on 21 June 2025, at age 68.⁵

Michael Paul Scheib passed peacefully into the arms of his Heavenly Father on June 21, 2025, at the age of 68, surrounded by his family, which was his greatest joy.
He was devoted to his wife of 27 years, Irene Thomas Scheib and was a loving father to their cherished son, Kyle Michael Scheib. His granddaughter, CiCi Scheib, was born on his birthday and was a special light in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Michael and Clarita (Blyler) Scheib, whose faith, love, values, and unwavering belief in him made a profound impact on the man he became. Their influence shaped his quiet strength and their presence remained a guiding light throughout his life.
After the passing of his parents, Mike found comfort and steadfast support in his father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Susan Chacko (Pittsboro, NC), and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Regi Sam (York, PA). Surrounding Mike with love during his illness, their presence was a cherished constant in his life, and their unwavering support brought him profound peace and comfort.
Mike was affectionately known as “Uncle Mike” by his nieces and nephews: Timothy Sam, Ruth (Cole) Kendall, Josiah (Moriah) Sam, Elisha Sam, Enoch (Sophie) Sam, Abigail-Ruby Sam, Ursula (Drew) Siverling, and Ryan (Cristy) Reed. He was also a proud great-uncle to several great-nieces and nephews, with whom he shared special moments in their lives.
Mike’s home church was West Shore Free Church in Mechanicsburg, PA. His faith carried him through his illness giving him strength. He spoke with assurance about where he was going after his life on earth and was at peace saying he was going to see his Master, with the knowledge he had been saved. Those words became a source of comfort and stood as a powerful witness to his unwavering belief through the most difficult of times.
Mike cherished time with his family and loved traveling with them to both new and familiar destinations. Golf was one of his greatest joys, and he enjoyed playing some of the most beautiful courses in the world. He was proud to have achieved a hole-in-one and found a deep sense of peace on the course.
Copperleaf Golf Club in Estero, Florida became a deeply meaningful place for Mike and his family, a home away from home that he made special for them. Even after his illness began, he was grateful for the time he could still spend there. It was a place of peace, joy, and togetherness, reflecting the love and care he gave in creating those lifelong memories.
Mike lived a life marked by deep humility and integrity. Over his 36-year career with Inservco Insurance Services, a subsidiary of Penn National Insurance, he rose to President and CEO and played a key role in building the company from a small startup into the respected organization it is today. His leadership, business expertise, and genuine care for people earned him the admiration and respect of colleagues, clients, and friends across all levels.
A gifted basketball player, Mike starred at Millersburg High School, where he led his team to two District Championships and had his #10 jersey retired. He continued his athletic journey at Susquehanna University, becoming one of the most celebrated players in school history. He was a three-time All-MAC selection and the leading scorer in both his junior and senior years, being inducted into Susquehanna’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 1983. In 1978, Mike received the prestigious Naismith Award, given annually to the best college basketball player in the nation under six feet tall across all NCAA divisions, a rare and remarkable honor that recognized not only a player's basketball ability, but also his character, leadership and heart on the court. The award was presented at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, further cementing his place among the sport’s elite. His #20 jersey was retired by Susquehanna University, and he was later inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame’s Capital Area and West Shore Chapters. Mike also played professionally overseas in Iceland and Sweden, an experience he spoke of with joy and gratitude. Mike remained dedicated to the game, coaching youth for over a decade with several programs to include West Shore and Cumberland Valley School Districts. His calm, steady presence and belief in building character left a lasting impression on countless players.
Mike was equally admired off the court for his generosity and the way he made others feel seen and valued. Whether recognizing a hardworking employee, mentoring a young athlete, caring for family and friends, or showing appreciation to those who worked in and around their home, he had a gift for making everyone feel special, respected, and appreciated. He lived with faith, led with compassion, and left a lasting legacy in the lives he touched.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on June 28, 2025 at 11 am at West Shore Free Church, 1345 Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
