Ralph H. Forney, 87, of 304 N. Second St., Lykens, died Saturday at Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.
Born in Lykens, March 31, 1915, he was a son of the late Ray and Nora Scheib Forney.
An Army veteran of World War II, he had been held as a prisoner of war.
He was retired from Alfa Laval Thermal Co., Lykens.
He was associated with Lykens United Methodist Church. He was a member of American Legion Post 124, Lykens, for 50 years; Liberty Hose Company No. 2, Lykens; Dauphin County Volunteer Firemen's Association; and Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Roy.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, the former Dorothy M. Warfield; a son, John R. Sr., Lykens; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens. The Rev. Keith J. Schmuck will officiate. Interment, with military honors will be in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.4

Raymond Eugene Forney, 54, of 308 North 2nd St., Lykens, died in the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, Monday, June 19th.
He was born in Lykens, son of the late Ray and Nora Shelb Forney.
He was employed by the Lykens Borough as Chief of Police.
He is survived by two brothers, Ralph H. of Lykens, and Roy A. of Millersburg.
Funeral services will be held today (June 22) at 11:00 a. m. from the Roy W. D. Schaffstall Funeral Home, 406 Market Street, Lykens. Rev. Robert Rothermel, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Wiconisco Cemetery.5

Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg.

Services for Walter J. Umholtz, 71, of RD1 Hegins, who died Christmas morning at Northeast Baptist Hospital, San Antonio, Tex., will be held Friday morning from Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. The Rev. Guy Grube of Valley View will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Donald Wetzel of Hegins. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery at Valley View.
Mr. Umholtz was visiting a daughter when he was stricken ill. He was born Feb. 13, 1907 at Good Spring, a son of the late Reily and Emma Miller Umholtz. Before retiring, he was employed at Klinger and Stehr Tire Shop, Valley View. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, served two terms on the church council, was on the worship and music committee and was a member of the stewardship committee.
Surviving are his widow, the former Minerva Koppenhaver; three children, Georgene, wife of Carl Scheib, San Antonio, Tex; Walter of San Jose, Calif; Diann, wife of Paul Geist, Hegins; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; also surviving, Mrs. Jean Bair, Hegins.
The Robert Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. The Rev. Carl Shankweiler will officiate. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View. There will be no viewing. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
