The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon with services in the United Brethren church. The Rev. H. M. Metzger of Valley View and the Rev. Paul Schirer, Lykens, will have charge. Interment will follow in the United Brethren cemetery, Valley View. The Bufflngton Funeral Service is in charge.

Schmeltz.1 Some sources record that Minnie Edna Schoffstall was born in November 1894.4 She married James Richard Williamson, son of Nathaniel Williamson and Catherine Whiskeyman, on 10 May 1912, Reformed Parsonage, Hegins, Schuylkill County, PA.1,5 Minnie Edna Schoffstall died on 3 November 1950, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 57.3

Mrs. Minnie Edna Williamson, 57, nee Schoffstall, wife of James R. Williamson. Valley View, died at her home Friday from a heart ailment. She was born at Hubley Twp. Nov. 25, 1892 a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schoffstall and was a member of the United Brethren Church. She was also a member of Marigold Rebekah Lodge. Valley View.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons Elvin, of Lincoln, Lancaster County, and Alfred and Leonard, both of Valley View and three grandchildren.

JAMES R. WILLIAMSON
James Richard Williamson, 83, of 929 W. Main St., Valley View, died Sunday evening in the Pottsville Hospital where he had been a patient since June 21.
He was born in Hegins, Feb. 7, 1887, a son of the late Nathaniel and Catherine (Whiskevman) William son.
He was employed for a number of years as a colliery breaker engineer I for the P&R Iron Co. plant in Good Springs. He was last employed by the Kocher Coal Co., Valley View. He was a member of St. Andrew's UM Church, Valley View.
Mr. Williamson's first wife, the former Minnie Schoffstall, died in 1950. He is survived by his widow, the former Emma Snyder Messersmith; three sons, Elvin, Ephrata; Alfred and Leonard, Valley View; a stepdaughter, Jean Shuttlesworth, of New Cumberland; three grandchildren & four great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two step- greatgrandchildren.
Funeral Thursday morning from St. Andrew's Church with the Rev. Gordon Oplinger officiating. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

Elvin J. Williamson. 76, a barber for 44 years in Lincoln, died early Friday at Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron.
He lived at the nursing center for three years and formerly lived at 330 N. Academy Drive, Ephrata.
Born in Hegens [Hegins] Township, he was a son of the late James R. and Minnie Edna Schoffspan Williamson.
He was the husband of Mabel M. Dietrich Williamson, also a resident of Maple Farms.
Williamson was a 46-year resident of Ephrata and Akron, and was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Lincoln.
He was employed as a barber in Lincoln from 1946 to 1984. He began working as a barber at age 15 in Valley View, Schuylkill County.
Williamson is survived by a son, James C., Vienna, Va.: a daughter. Janice G., wife of Barton E. Henly, Ephrata; two brothers, Alfred and Leonard, both of Valley View; three grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Brosious, daughter of Edgar Brosious and Mabel (?).7 Prior to his death, Alfred Richard Williamson lived at 1504 West Maple Street, Valley View, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA.4 He died on 28 May 1992, Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, Potter County, PA, at age 71.4

Alfred R. Williamson, 71, of 1504 W. Maple St., Valley View, died Thursday at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
Born in Valley View, May 6, 1921, he was a son of the late James and Minnie Schoffstall Williamson. He was a 1938 graduate of Hegins Township High School.
He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
He was owner and operator of the former Williamson Coal Co., Williamstown, until retiring.
He was a member of American Legion Post 575, Valley View; VFW Post 8237, Valley View; Swatara Lodge 267, F&AM, Tremont; Pottsville Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Valley View Fire Company; Valley View Gun Club; and Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.
Surviving are his wife, the former Pauline Brosius; a son, Richard, Valley View; a brother, C. Leonard, Valley View; a grandchild; a great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from St Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. The Rev. Floyd Sollenberger will officiate. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.

C. Leonard "Pete" Williamson, 74, of 11 N. Vista Road, Valley View, died Saturday morning at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Born in Valley View, March 22, 1928, he was a son of the late James R. and Minnie Schoffstall Williamson. He was a 1945 graduate of Hegins Township High School.
He was a retired coal miner, having worked for Kocher Coal Co., Valley View. He also had been a self-employed coal miner.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Elvin and Alfred.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, the former Shirley Clauser, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. The Rev. Claude Schach will officiate. There will be no viewing. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.3
