     Charles Harvey Schoffstall was born on 20 September 1874, Northumberland County, PA.3,4,2 He was the son of John Adam Schoffstall and Polly Schwalm.1 Some sources suggest that Charles Harvey Schoffstall was married on 1 July 1893 Elizabethville, Dauphin County, PA.5 He married Kate C. Schmeltz, daughter of Jonas Joel Schmeltz and Magdalena Mausser, on 1 July 1893, Northumberland County, PA.1,6,7 Charles Harvey Schoffstall died on 28 January 1947, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 72.2 He was buried on 1 February 1947, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church Cemetery, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA.2,8

CHARLES H. SCHOFFSTALL
Charles H. Schoffstall, age 72 years, a retired farmer, died at his home Valley View January 28.
He was a native of Jordan Township, Northumberland County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Schoffstall, and was a member of Klinger's Reformed Church, Erdman.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. James Williamson, of Valley View; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a brother, John Schoffstall, of Lykens Township.
Services were held from the Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, with further services in the United Brethren Church at that place. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
