    Gail J. Klinger, 61, of Selinsgrove, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City, N.C.
    She was born Nov. 17, 1962, in Sunbury, a daughter of Terre Jean (Rumple) Paris and John Richard Klinger. Gail graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 1982, and had been employed for more than 20 years with Aramark food service at Susquehanna University.
    She attended and was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church in Middleburg. Gail enjoyed reading, gardening, completing latch hook rugs, chatting with her friends, being social and especially derived great joy baking cookies with her family at Christmas. She was the life of a gathering and made everyone feel better that she came in contact with. She never met a stranger!
    She had a special place in her heart for cats especially Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Clarabelle and Tinkerbelle.
    Surviving in addition to her parents are her sister, Kristine (John) Bealmear; stepfather, Mike Paris; stepmother, Ruth Ann Klinger; niece, Terre Watling, nephews, Bealmear, and Connor Bealmear; great-nephews, Liam Bealmear, Benjamin Watling, and River Bealmear, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Guy and Evelyn Klinger, and maternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Deitrick.
    Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11.
    Private burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
    Contributions to honor Gail's memory can be made to the American Heart Association.2
