    GEORGE C. SCHREFFLER
    George C. Schreffler, age 63 years, of Berrysburg, employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, died on Friday while working at Waverly, New Jersey.
    Mr. Schreffler was a son of George and Agnes (Ritzman) Schreffler, and was born in Lykens. He had been a freight conductor for the railroad company the past eighteen years and was member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Maude Brown Schreffler; one son, George Jr., of Harrisburg; two daughters, Mrs. George Frady Jr and Mrs. John W. Brown, both of Harrisburg; and seven grandchildren.
    Services were held from the Hoover Funeral Home, Berrysburg, at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. E. R. Marks, pastor of the Lykens Valley Charge, United Church of Christ, and Charles Neiswender, assistant, officiated, and interment was made in the Wiconisco Cemetery.

    George Frady, 90, of Lower Paxton Twp. went to be with his Lord and his beloved wife, Helen Irene Schreffler Frady on Monday, June 17, 2013 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
    He was born December 31, 1922 in Steelton, PA to the late George and Mary E. Raver Frady. He graduated from Steelton High School and was a US Army Technical Sergeant and veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater, and was a member of VFW Post 1718. He retired from Jackson Manufacturing Co., the PA State YMCA, American Lung Assn., and Metro Arts as Building Manager for Mim Warden.
    He was a quiet, gentle man who loved his family. He enjoyed reading and was an accomplished woodworker. He was always ready to help his family, friends and neighbors.
    George was preceded in death by his wife, Helen of 58 1/2 years, and five sisters, Ida Quick, Jennie Wolf, Mary Ward, Emma Baer, and Maggie Wells. Surviving are his daughters, Helen Schindler and husband, Mike, Janet Hill and husband, Bruce, and Nancy Simonetti and companion, Dan Trievel; grandchild Tracy Everhart and husband, Walt and great grandchildren, Victoria, Hannah and Jeremy and great great grandchild, Liley; grandchild, Kelly Kratzer and husband, Bryan and great grandchildren, Kyle and Katie; grandchild, Jennifer Holmes Straub and husband, Rob; grandchild and Air Force Staff Sergeant Benjamin Holmes and wife, Sheryl and great grandchildren, Logan, Andrew and Dylan; grandchild David Simonetti and wife, Katie; brother, Earl Frady and wife, Beulah; and nieces and nephews.
    Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St., Steelton with Rev. Brian Medkeff-Rose, Chaplain for Hospice of Central PA, officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of services in the funeral home.

Born June 17, 1922 in Rutherford, PA she was the daughter of the late Chester W. and Mary (Reichart) Klinger. She was the wife of 48 years to the late George C. Schreffler who died March 6, 1989.
    Sara worked for Resistance Products for approximately 8 years. She later retired from ITT Corporation where she worked in Human Resources for more than 26 years.
    She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Harrisburg where she participated in the "Ripe Apples" and was a member of the "Golden Hearts Club for more than 20 years.
    She also enjoyed cross stitching and volunteering as an usher at the Hershey Theater, Hershey, PA.
    Sara leaves behind one son, one brother, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
    In addition to her husband and parents,
    Sara was preceded in death by one son, John Schreffler , one sister, Verna Johnson and three brothers, Melvin Klinger, Chester Klinger and Norris Klinger.
    The funeral service will be 11:30 AM, Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Harrisburg. Her pastor, the Rev. Joel D. Petruschke will officiate.
    Burial will be in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
    The viewing will be 10:300-11:30 AM, Friday, May 6, 2016 at the church.

He was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School and a member of the American Legion. He was an avid collector of military memorabilia and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson Jack.
