    Kevin J. Kemrer, Sr., age 53 of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 13, 2021, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 28, 1968, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Jay William Kemrer and is survived by his mother, Janet Klinger Bax. A 1986 graduate of Evergreen High School in Portland, Oregon, Kevin later went on to earn his Associates Degree. Kevin worked as a histology technician at Holy Spirit Hospital for 6 years and worked there more than 15 years, and then for Apple Valley Waste as a driver. He enjoyed reading, kayaking, taking trips to Rehoboth Beach with his fiancée Rae, camping, hunting, and fishing. He truly cherished time with family, his grandchildren, and his fur babies, Ethan and Maddie. Kevin loved sports, especially cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Surviving is his fiancée, Rae D. Bartle of Chambersburg, PA; two children, Jenell Spangler (husband Quinton) of Pequea, PA and Kevin J. Kemrer, Jr. (wife Krista) of Lykens, PA; the mother of his children, Kelly Wonica of Elizabethville, PA; two grandchildren, Willow Kemrer and Ayden Wenrich; and six siblings, Lisa, Dwain, Anthony, Michael Kemrer and Nathan and Kim Weaver. Services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd. W., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
