    JOHN W. SHOMPER
    The funeral of John Weaver Shomper, 47, of S. Second St., Lykens, will be held Saturday at Helt's Funeral Home, Lykens. The Rev. Samuel Stoner will officiate. Burial will be made in the M. E. Cemetery at Williamstown. Mr. Shomper died at his home of complications.' Ha was born in Tower City. Surviving are his wife, five children as follows: Robert, Fay, Gail and Anita at home, and Betty, wife of Charles Fischer of Philadelphia; also two brothers, Harold, of Williamstown and Russell, of Detroit, Mich; five sisters Margaret Ratzen, Irene Taylor, Eliza Keen, of Williamstown; Edna, wife of Frank Keen, and Mrs. Gladys Parnell, of Phila.

    Esther M. Shomper
    Esther M. Shomper, 90, of 536 S. Second St., Lykens, died Tuesday at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
    Born in Williamstown, Aug. 15, 1904, she was a daughter of the late Fenton and Ruth Jenkins Challenger.
    She was a member of Lykens United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women and was past president of the King's Daughters Class, member of Lykens Area Senior Citizens and Glen Chapter 425, Order of Eastern Star, Lykens.
    Her husband, John W., preceded her in death.
    Surviving are four daughters, Betty Fischer, Exton, Faye Welker, with whom she resided, Gail Long, RD Millersburg, and Anita Schmiedel, York Haven; a son, Robert, Tempe, Ariz; a sister, Mary Hand, Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lykens UM Church with the Rev. Kevin E. Hughes officiating. Interment will be in Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown. John M. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, is in charge of arrangements.
