    VALLEY VIEW -- A funeral will be conducted Saturday in Valley View for Mrs. Maude E. Smeltz, 87, formerly of Millersburg, who died Tuesday in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shade of Hegins.
    She is survived by another daughter, Violet Kessler of Millersburg RD1 ; three sons, Marvin of Mechanicsburg, Clarence of Tonopah, Ariz., and Stuart of Schuylkill Haven; a stepson, Ray Hepler of Joliett; a brother, Herman Miller of Hegins; 12 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren ; and 24 great-grandchildren.

    Robert A. Schneck, 82, of Rest Haven, formerly of Pine Grove, died Monday at Rest Haven, where he was a guest for six months.
    Born in Pine Grove, Jan. 13, 1926, he was a son of the late Mahlon H. and Carrie Rehrer Schneck.
    He was the husband of Geraldine M. Hepler Schneck, to whom he was married for 51 years.
    He owned and operated Robert A. Schneck Beer Distributor, Pine Grove, retiring in 1978, and later worked for Hidden Valley Golf Course.
    He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. He was a member of Friedensburg Fish & Game and a former member of Flying Dutchman Motorcycle Club and Roedersville Gun Club, Pine Grove.
    He served in the Army during World War II.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Tracie Keefer, Pine Grove; two grandchildren, Ryan and Kyla Keefer; sisters, Reba Strubhar, Pine Grove, and Ruth Matz, Pine Grove.
    Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Indi-antown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery The family requests donations be sent to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 312 S.
