    WATERVILLE -- Howard "Howie" V. Miller, 79, of Waterville, passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010. He was a longtime resident of Waterville. Howie was born in Williamstown, Pa., on Aug. 1, 1931, the son of Raymond and Lillian (Clauser) Miller. He was educated in Williamstown schools and graduated from the Williamson School of Technology in Media, Pa.
    Howard was an electrician by trade and joined the Coast Guard after college. He was also employed at several other companies over the years, including HC Anderson, David Brown Tractor and Cummins Diesel.
    In 1974, Howard moved to Maine and was employed at Daniels Co., working on the construction of the S.D. Warren Somerset mill. After completion of the mill, he later joined S.D. Warren as an electrician, then retired in 1993.
    Howard had many interests. He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying. Other hobbies included photography and travel. Howard was an active member of Waterville Elks Lodge 905, Waterville American Legion Bourque-Lanigan Post 5, Masonic Waterville Lodge 33, Teconnet Chapter 52 of Waterville and Mount Lebanon Council 13 of Oakland, and Fairfield Center United Methodist Church.
    He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Carolyn Girton, all of Pennsylvania; and a stepson, N. Jeffrey Bickford, of China.
    Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Miller, of Waterville; two daughters, Sharon Miller and her husband, Keith Divoll, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Carolyn Miller and her husband, Jerry Dupuis, of Gardner, Mass; a son, Howard Miller of Athol, Mass; three stepchildren, Tina Thomas and her husband, Michael "Micky," of Yarmouth, Robbe MacKenzie and her husband, William "Bill," of Pembroke, N.H., and Michael Bickford and his wife, Barbara, of China; a sister, Dorie Birnheimer, of Pennsylvania; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Fairfield Center United Methodist Church. Burial will occur at a later date at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery on Grove Street in Waterville.

    WATERVILLE - Marilyn J. (Bickford) Miller, 78, died peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at her home with family by her side. She was born in Waterville, on Nov. 5, 1936, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Abraham) Corey. She was educated in local schools, graduated from Waterville High School and Thomas College.
    She held various positions at Central Maine Power Company and retired in 1991. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling cross country with her late husband, Howard V. Miller.
    She is survived by her three children: two daughters, Tina J. Thomas and husband Michael of Yarmouth, Robbe MacKenzie and husband William of Pembroke, N.H., and son Michael R. Bickford and wife Barbara of China. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Mark Jacques and wife Donna, Matthew Bickford and wife Emily, Daniel Bickford, Angela Bickford, Tiffany MacKenzie, Sarah (Bickford) Byrne and husband Taylor, and Jennifer MacKenzie; three great-grandsons, Colby and Cameron Jacques, and Sawyer Byrne; along with several nieces and nephews.
    Marilyn was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Neil R. Bickford, and second husband Howard V. Miller; her son N. Jeffrey Bickford; and six siblings, James Corey, Philip Corey, Nasseeb Corey, Nazelia Corey Place, Nazera Corey Bickford, and Annie Corey Chase.
    The family would like to thank the team of care providers and hospice workers that helped cared for Marilyn.
    Committal prayers and burial will take place later this spring in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville. (Central Maine 4/1/2015 and Gallant Funeral Home.)2
