    Born in Orwigsburg, he was a son of the late Elmer and Ruth Koch Klinger.
    Richard was retired from Roofers Union Local 30 and D.H. Moore Roofing, Orwigsburg.
    He is survived by a son, Lance R. Klinger, Schuylkill Haven; a daughter, Dayna N. Heffner, Pine Grove; a sister, Patricia Baver, New Ringgold; a brother, James Rhoades, Fleetwood; grandchildren, Kori Heffner, Carrie Klinger and Levi Klinger. He is also survived by a niece, a nephew and his lifelong best friend, Larry Schneck.
    A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Chateau at Hidden Valley Golf Course, 1832 Panther Valley Road, Pine Grove. Friends and family will be received from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at the Chateau. Theo. C. Auman Funeral Home Inc., Reading, is in charge of arrangements.

    Elmer F. Klinger Dies at Orwigsburg
    Elmer Franklin Klinger, 36, died at his home 117 E. Tammany St., Orwigsburg, on Thursday at 3 p. m. after an illness of about three months. He had recently returned home from the Pottsville hospital.
    Born in Duncott, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Martha E. Ellen Eisenhauer Klinger. He had lived in Brommerstown and later in Orwigsburg and was employed by the M. & M. Coal company, Schuylkill Haven. He was a member of the Friendship Hose company No. 1, Orwigsburg; Joseph W. Morrison Post No. 2198, V. F. W., and the United Mine Workers of America Local 9747, Sch. Haven.
    Surviving are: his wife, the former Ruth Mae Koch; two sons, Kenneth, of Auburn, and Richard at home; one daughter, Patricia Ann also at home; three brothers, John and Charles, Pottsville, and Earl, Orwigsburg R. D.
    Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon from the Lundbye funeral home, Orwigsburg, with interment in Schuylkill Memorial Park. The Rev. William M. Schwartz, Pottsville, will officate.

    Ruth M. Rhoades, 89, of Orwigsburg, died at Genesis Healthcare Orwigsburg Center, Thursday.
    Born May 11, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. Koch and Mary M. Brommer Koch.
    She was a homemaker. She was raised in the Protestant faith.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Rhoades, who died Oct. 18, 2002; and a brother, George Koch.
    Surviving are two sons, Richard Klinger, Orwigsburg, and James Rhoades, Reading; a daughter, Patricia Baver, New Ringgold; and four grandchildren.
    Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park Inc., Schuylkill Haven. The family would greatly appreciate if contributions would be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9638. Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, has charge of arrangements.
