    Mr. Klinger, a resident of Shamokin 50 years, was employed as a maintenance man for the Tasty Baking Company. He was married to the former. Miss Maude Schreffler, who preceded him in death.

    Wife of Former Local Man Expires
    Mrs. Maud Klinger, wife of Charles Klinger, 845 East Russell Street, Philadelphia, a former resi dent of Shamokin, died yesterday afternoon at 1:30 in the family cottage, Knoebel's Groves, where she had been living since early summer.
    Mrs. Klinger, who was staying in the cottage with a grandson, shortly after 1:00 yesterday afternoon was stricken with an acute heart seizure. She died shortly after she was stricken ill. Her husband, Charles Klinger, a former resident, was notified of the death of his wife at his place of employment in Philadelphia.
    Mrs. Klinger, a daughter of the late John and Martha (Richards) Schreffler, was born April 3, 1890, in Minersville. She came to Shamokin with her parents as a small girl and attended Lincoln School. She was married to Charles Kiinger in Philadelphia, January 2, 1921. The couple lived in Shamokin until 10 years ago, when they moved to Philadelphia. Mrs. Klinger was a member of St. Philip Methodist Church, Philadelphia.
    Survivors include the husband, three children, Mrs. Charlotte Zagnojny, Mrs. Martha McDermott, and John Van Matre, all of Philadelphia. A brother, Howard Schreffler, Miami, Fla., who at the turn of the century was a member of Shamokin High School football team, a sister, Mrs. Blanche Presker, Philadelphia, and 10 grandchildren survive, also.
    Funeral services will be conducted i: the home, 845 East Russell Street. Philadelphia, Friday afternoon at 2:00. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Viewing will be in the Farrow Funeral Home, Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00. The body will be taken to Philadelphia Thursday morning and viewing will be in the Klinger Home on Thursday evening.
