    Eugene G Fesig, age 93, of Valley View, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Providence Place, Pine Grove.
    He was born on Thursday, April 7, 1927, in Reinerton, a son of the late George Fesig and the late Mabel (Diehl) Fesig.
    He was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.
    Eugene served in the US Army during World War II.
    He worked for TRW, Mechanicsburg, then was a door to door delivery person for Brokhoff's Dairy and Lehigh Valley Dairy, and retired from Penn Reel, Hegins.
    He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.
    Eugene enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; by a brother, Lamar Fesig, and two sisters Doris Canale and Carol Pakkala.
    He is survived by his wife Shirley P (Matter) Fesig, to whom he was married for 70 years.
    He is also survived by daughter, Karen L Schwalm and her husband Daniel of Valley View; two grandsons, Matthew D Schwalm and his wife Ashley of Dillsburg, and Adam M Schwalm and his wife Tabitha of Valley View; two great grandsons, Jacob Schwalm and Jeremiah Schwalm both of Valley View; four great granddaughters, Kelly Schwalm of Valley View, Naomi Schwalm of Dillsburg, Josie Schwalm of Dillsburg, and Eliana Schwalm of Dillsburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    Private services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View.
    Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.

    She was born Sunday, Aug. 12, 1928, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Homer C. Matter and the late Iva E. (Schade) Matter.
    She was a graduate of the former Hegins Township High School.
    Shirley was a seamstress in area garment factories prior to her retirement.
    She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.
    Shirley enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
    Her husband, Eugene G. Fesig, to whom she was married for 70 years, passed away Feb. 24, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Thelma Matter, Arlene Savidge and Elva Kocher; two brothers, Paul Matter and Warren Matter.
    She is survived by a daughter, Karen L. Schwalm and her husband, Daniel, of Valley View; two grandsons, Matthew D. Schwalm and his wife, Ashley, of Dillsburg, and Adam M.
