    Darlene Kay Harner
    Darlene Kay Harner, 48, of Valley View, died Sunday at her home.
    Born in Gratz, July 12, 1949, she was a daughter of Earl and Mary Laudenslager Starr, Gratz. She was a 1969 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School.
    She had been employed by Quaker State Farms, Klingerstown.
    She was a member of Simeons United Lutheran Church, Gratz, YMCA, Elizabethville, and VFW Diamond Jubilee Post 2385 Auxiliary, Gratz.
    A sister, Shirley Hain, died in 1990; a stepson, Miguel Harner, died in 1988.
    Surviving are her husband, Gary; two sons, Galen Hoffman III, Ono, and Keith Hoffman, Williamstown; a daughter, Gretta Conrad, Newville; two stepsons, Brent Harner, Leck Kill, and Monte Harner, with the Air Force in Panama; a sister, Carolyn Barry, RD1 Elizabethville; two grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Simeons United Lutheran Church, Gratz. The Rev. Barry Ridge will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Gratz. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
