    She was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz; and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Gratz.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Starr; two daughters, Shirley Hain and Darlene Harner; and 14 brothers and sisters.
    She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Barry; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
    Services were held June 11 at Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz.
    Burial was in Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz.
    Contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice.
    James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, was in charge of arrangements.
