    AGED MRS. SCHMELTZ THIS DIED MORNING
    Mrs. Rebecca Schmeltz died at 5:30 o'clock thrs morning, the result of a stroke of paralysis suffered yesterday morning. She was aged 72 years 10 months and 10 days. Her husband Andrew Schmeltz, died twelve years ago, and all of her children preceded her to the grave. There are no surviving grandchildren. Deceased resided here for the past four years and was well and favorably known. Undertaker McConnell is in charge of the funeral, final arrangements for which will be announced later.

    Roy David Paul, 81, of Klingerstown, PA away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his home.
    Roy was born in Klingerstown, on October 10, 1938, a son of the late Eva (Wiest) and Russell Paul.
    He graduated from the Hegins Township High School in 1956 and was employed in Maintenance working at the former Spread Eagle Farm and Quaker State Farm and last worked at Troutman Brothers.
    Roy was a member of the Klingerstown, Pillow, and Mahantongo Fire Companies, and the Gratz Area Antique Machinery Association.
    He enjoyed hunting, playing bingo, watching Family Feud, doing word searches, jigsaw puzzles and attending Herndon Softball games.
    Roy is survived by his wife Marlene M (Rebuck) Paul, they celebrated 60 years of marriage on April 2, 2020; a daughter, Debbie L, wife of Bruce Weaver, of Lykens; a sister, Eleanor M., wife of Harold Lenker, of Herndon; sister in law Betty E. Lenker wife of the late William Lenker of Shamokin; and 2 nephews and one niece.
    A public graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hunter Station at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dale Thomas officiating.
    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to David's U.C.C. Church, 1907 Klingerstown Road, Herndon, PA 17830.
