William J. Brosius was born on 15 October 1934, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.2,3 He was the son of Jay Adam Brosius and Lydia Catherine Willier.1 William J. Brosius died on 17 September 2025, at age 90.3

William Jacob Brosius, age 90, of Millersburg, entered into eternal rest on September 17, 2025. He was born on October 15, 1934, in Lykens Township, the son of the late Jay and Lydia Brosius.
Bill was married to Shirley on August 12, 1961, and was a faithful husband and dad, always surrounded by his loving and caring family. He is held in the hearts of his wife, Shirley, and their two sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Deb Brosius, and Terry and Caren Brosius. He was also blessed with five grandchildren and their spouses: Rachel and Andrew, Daniel and his fiancée Julia, Grace, Scott and Kaylyn, and Elizabeth.
He graduated from Hegins (Tri-Valley) High School, where he played baseball as a catcher, and later went to spring training in Florida with the Cleveland Indians. From 1953 to 1957, he was a member of the US Air Force. He went on to graduate from Penn State University in 1962 and then worked as a math teacher at Halifax Middle School for 26 years. After retiring, he continued working in the community as a substitute rural mail carrier for the Halifax Post Office.
Bill was a faithful servant of the church as he was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Millersburg, where he also served on the Missions Committee. He took pride in tending the flower garden at his Millersburg home of 36 years and enjoyed spending time on the golf course with the Silver Straggler’s League. He was also a member of the Elk Trail Gun Club and cherished hunting trips to Potter County.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Marie Brosius, and siblings Alma Stroup, Anna Hartman, and Marie Maurer.
A viewing will be held on September 22, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St Matthews Church of Christ, Spring Glen. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 am at the St Matthews Church of Christ, Spring Glen with Rev. Terry Brosius officiating. Interment will take place in the David's Community Bible Church, Millersburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Residential Home Health & Hospice of Mechanicsburg or Samaritans Purse.3

Born in Fearnot, RD1 Hegins, on April 2, 1898, he was a son of th elate Marles and Magdalena Schnepf Coleman.
Mr. Coleman was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain, and Red Men Lodge, Spring Glen.
Surviving are his wife, the former Neva Stutzman; five children, Mrs. Chester Otto, Hegins RD2; Mrs. Robert Scheib, Hegins RD1; Mrs. Daniel Troutman, Klingerstown; Robert, Hegins RD2; Donald, Phila; three brothers, Thomas, Williamsport; William and Oscar, both of Middletown; one sister, Mrs. Maude Scheib, Lykens; also seven grandchildren.

Neva E. Coleman, 86, formerly of Fountain, died Friday in Friendly Nursing Home, Pitman.
She was born in Fountain, Jan. 25, 1901, a daughter of the late John and Amanda Dinger Stutzman.
She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gurney, and a son, Charles.
Surviving are three daughters, Arlene Otto and Eleanor Scheib, both of Hegins area and Nancy Troutman, Klingerstown; two sons, Robert, Hegins area, and Donald, Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Minnie Bainbridge, Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pottsville.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Robert Miller Funeral Home, Valley View. The Rev. Jeffrey R. Diller, Tower City, will officiate. Interment will be in Fountain Union Cemetery. There will be no calling hours this evening.
