     Charles T. Kessler was born on 31 May 1911, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA.² He married Elsie Marie Schweinhart, daughter of Charles Monroe Schweinhart and Ida Lucas.¹ Charles T. Kessler died on 25 August 1989, Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 78.²

Services for Charles T. Kessler. 78, of East Main St., Hegins, who died Friday at Good Samaritan Hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Salem United Methodist Church, Weishample. The Rev. Timothy Smith of Gordon and the Rev. John Ritchey of Valley View will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, has charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kessler was born in Hegins Township on May 31, 1911. a son of the late Tyes and Mary Homberger Kessler.
He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Weishample. and Tn-Valley Senior Citizens.
He was a retired miner.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elsie Schweinhart, two sons, Leonard. Spring Glen, and Charles Valley View two daughters, Lorraine Wiesi, Harrisburg. and Betty Klinger, Merrimack.N.H; 11 grandchildren; three great-granchildren; and a sister, Sadie Snyder, Pitman.

Services for Elsie M. Kessler, 86, of 904 E. Main Hegins, who died Monday at Tremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, will be held at 11 am Thursday in St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. The Rev. George Reynolds will officiate. Interment will be in Salem United Methodist Cemetery, Weishample. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Barry Township, June 27, 1916, she was a daughter of Charles and Katie Ida Lucas Schweinhart.
She was a retired seamstress at the former Valley View Enterprises, Valley View.
She was a member of St. Andrew's UM Church and Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1989; a grandson; a great-grandson. She was the last of 13 children.
Surviving are a two sons, Leonard, Spring Glen, and Charles Hegins; two daughters, Lorraine Schwalm, Valley View, and Betty Klinger, Hernando, 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
