     Roy Ezra Schwalm was born on 15 July 1905.2 He was baptized on 16 October 1905, Frieden's Reformed Church, Hegins, Schuylkill County, PA.2 He married Florence Scheib on 31 March 1934, Dauphin County, PA.3 The 1940 Census for Brookline, MA, lists Roy and Grace Schwalm as lodgers in a building managed by William A. Sargent. The Census indicates that both Roy and Grace were living in "Ritledge" [Rutledge], PA, in 1935. Roy was a truck driver for an oil refinery and Grace was a waitress. City directories for the Boston area, list Roy and Grace as residents there as early as 1939.4,5 Roy Ezra Schwalm died on 1 June 1975, RD 1, Breinigsville, Lehigh County, PA, at age 69.6,7,8,9,10

Roy E. Schwalm, 69, of RD1 Breiningsville, died Sunday morning at his home.
Mr. Schwalm, born in Hegins, was the son of the late Ezra and Laura Schroeder Schwalm. He had been a delivery salesman for the Gulf Oil Corp. for 35 years before retiring in 1964. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Lehigh Shrine, Allentown; West Roxbury Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, Boston; Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Boston Commandery No. 2, Knights Templar; Aleppo Temple, Boston.
Surviving are his widow, the former Grace E. Neiswender; a niece, Jarnell M., wife of Troy Burkert, Hazleton; one brother, Paul, Pottsville.
Services will be held Wednesday morning from the Bean Funeral Home, Reading, with the Rev. Charles E. Fair, pastor of Alsace Lutheran Church, Reading, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Tamaqua.

     Florence Scheib was born on 4 April 1914.1,2,3 Her married name was Schwalm. She married Roy Ezra Schwalm on 31 March 1934, Dauphin County, PA.4 As of after 1979,her married name was Manthorne.5 Florence Scheib died on 15 November 1988, at age 74.5
MANTHORNE -- Of Malden, November 15, Florence A. (Scheib), wile of the late Aubrey W. Manthorne. mother of A. William Manthorne ol N.H; JoAnn S. LaFon of Va., Gary D. Manthorne of Calif., Carolyn Paul of Pa., sister of Alvena Davis of Pa. and the late Eva Walters and Albert Scheib, also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., MALDEN, on Friday. November 18 at 10 a m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
