    Robert O. Lauver, Sr., age 90, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Providence Place Retirement Community. Born September 14, 1922 in Shamokin, PA, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Florence Klinger Lauver. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Lauver served honorably during WWII, where he participated in the Battle at Rhineland. After the war, Mr. Lauver moved his family to Waynesboro in 1950 and worked as a farmer for a couple years and then began a career at the former E.D. Plummer and Son Blacktop Plant in Chambersburg, where he worked for 20 years. Mr. Lauver also worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural route carrier for 30 years, retiring in 1993. Always busy, he made a hobby into a business, painting on the side. He enjoyed camping and bowling. He bowled in the leagues on Wednesday and Friday nights at Nellie Fox Bowling Alley. Surviving are his son, Robert O. Lauver, Jr. (wife Bobbie) of Chambersburg, PA; three grandchildren, Tammy Schuchman (husband Greg) of Chambersburg, PA, Chrystal Sattazahn of Chambersburg, and Dr. Rob Lauver III (wife Jessica) of Lancaster, PA; four great grandchildren, Kendyl Schuchman, Darya Sattazahn, Austin and Jullian Lauver; one brother, Clyde Lauver (wife Nancy) of Selinsgrove, PA; and a nephew, Barry Lauver of Selinsgrove, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther Mae Reichenbach Lauver and two brothers, Charles and Fred Lauver. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Mike Baumgardner will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, where members of the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Honor Guard will provide military honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Grane Hospice, 4 Lemoyne Drive, Suite 201, Lemoyne, PA 17043.

    Lloyd Edwin Klinger
    Lloyd "Kingston" Edwin Klinger was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Sunbury, a son of Home an unknown person Klinger and Marion (Dagle) Klinger. His family later moved to Waynesboro where he graduated from high school in 1946.
    He was drafted into the Air Force where he served until 1949. On the GI Bill he attended Shippensburg University. He later attended the Pennsylvania State University where he earned his BS, MS and in 1967 his PhD in electrical engineering.
    While at PSU Lloyd met his wife of 62 years, Carole. They have two children, Cheryl and Peter.
    In 1968 the family moved to Lewisburg where Lloyd taught electrical engineering at Bucknell University. During the summers the family resided Allentown where Lloyd worked for Pennsylvania Power & Light. He was later recruited to work full time for them. The family permanently moved to Allentown in 1974. In the fall of 1980 the family relocated to Northfield, Vt., where Lloyd taught at Norwich University.
    Lloyd enjoyed many activities: bowling, golfing, bird watching and banding, hunting, fishing, summering with his family at camp on Lake Parker and in his later years, photography. His work has been shown at a gallery in Northfield, Vt. in 2019 and he has been the "Artist of the Month of October" at O'Maddi's Delaurant restaurant for the past 10 years. He photographed the natural world in his backyard and at camp. He also crafted and sold notecards at local establishments.
    Lloyd was a member of the IEEE Society, Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu Association and held his Professional Engineering Certificate in both Pennsylvania and Vermont.
    Lloyd and Carole supported may organizations such as the Vermont Food Bank, World Wildlife Foundation, Special Olympics, Nature Conservancy and St. Jude's.
    He is survived by his wife, two children, four grandchildren, Mara, Sarah, Robert and Chelsea; daughter-in-law, Amy; sister, Lois; brother, Marlin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
    No services are planned at this time.

    A Celebration of Remembrance and showing of Lloyd's photography will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at O'Maddi's restaurant on the Common in Northfield. Light refreshments will be served.
