    DORNSIFE -- Walter L. "Wally" Klock, 79, of RR1 Dornsife, a lifelong resident, died at 11:55 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He had been in ill health for four years. He was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 28.
    He was born on May 26, 1920, in Little Mahanoy Township, a son of the late Daniel N. and Martha M. (Erdman) Klock. He was married on June 2, 1940, to the former Vinnie Klinger in Herndon.
    He was educated in Little Mahanoy Township schools.
    Mr. Klock was employed as a shovel operator in the coal industry for many years. He last was employed by the Reading Coal Co., Trevorton, before retiring.
    He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 551, Dornsife, Herndon Masonic Lodge 702, Free and Accepted Masons, the Harrisburg Consistory and the Trevorton East End Rod and Gun Club, Weikert. He served on the Little Mahanoy Township Board of Supervisors and on the school board of the Trevorton, West Cameron and Little Mahanoy Township school districts.
    He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross. He 'was a past council member at the church.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters and one son-in-law, Doris and Carl Kahler of Dornsife and Sandra Reed of Gratz; five grandsons, Daniel Kahler, Timothy Kahler, Todd Reed, Andrew Kahler and Ty Reed; two granddaughters, Catherine Erb and Taryn Troutman; and nine great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Erdman, Mae Troutman and Grace Bordner; and one brother, Ray.
    Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross. A service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday at the church by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 551, Dornsife. The funeral will be conducted at 1 1 a.m. Monday at the church by the Rev. Glen B. Keidel Jr.
    Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, RR1, Box 30B, Dornsife, PA 17823. Funeral arrangements were by the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton.

    DORNSIFE - Carl D. Kahler, 80, of Dornsife, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at his home.
    He was born Sept. 4, 1937, in Trevorton, a son of the late Lee and Jenny (Crissinger) Kahler.
    He was a 1957 graduate of Trevorton High School. He served in U.S. Army from Dec. 7, 1960, to Dec. 7, 1962.
    Carl was married on June 25, 1960, in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Red Cross to the former Doris Klock, who survives.
    He was a resident of Dornsife the past 57 years. He retired as a machinist from AMP Inc., Selinsgrove. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Red Cross and the Dalmatia Legion Post No. 504.
    Carl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, traveling, camping, bowling, fishing, meeting friends for breakfast, family gatherings and working on cars.
    In addition to his wife, Doris, Carl is survived by three sons, Daniel Kahler and wife, Maxine, of Dornsife, Timothy Kahler and wife, Joni, of Poquoson, Virginia, and Andrew Kahler and wife, Patricia, of Dornsife; a daughter, Catherine Erb and husband, Bryan, of Sunbury; nine grandchildren, Courtney Kahler, Adrienne Bobb and husband, Mark, Zachary Kahler, Laura Kahler, Ryan Erb, Elizabeth Erb, Melissa Davignon, Caitlyn Tait and husband, DaKotah, and Emily Foltz; five great-grandchildren, Addison Kahler, Finnley Bobb, Maxon Davignon, Bentley Sessions and Daniel Tait; a sister, June Reitz, of Selinsgrove; and mother-in-law, Vinnie Klock, of Northumberland.
    He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Paul and John Kahler.
    KAHLER - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 235 Schwaben Creek Road, Dornsife, with Rev. Karis Hagen officiating. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the church and 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carl's memory to St. Peter's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 235 Schwaben Creek Road, Dornsife, PA 17823.     GRATZ -- Lee E. Reed, 47, of Gratz, died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1993, at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg. He had been ill for the past year and entered the hospital Aug. 23.
    Born Sept. 18, 1945, in Sunbury, he was a son John W. and Edna (Michaels) Reed Sr. of Trevorton. He married the former Sandra Kluck in 1966. He was a resident of Gratz for the past 20 years, previously residing in Trevorton and Montoursville.
    He was a 1963 graduate of Trevorton High School, where he was an outstanding athlete. He was a 1969 graduate of Mansfield University, where he played on the university baseball team, and he had attended Bucknell University for banking courses. He had recently been inducted into the Bernie Romanoski Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and had been active in the Gratz Little League, coaching for many years.
    At the time of his death, he was president of the Gratz National Bank. He had been active in banking since 1970.
    He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross, and the Trevorton East End Rod and Gun Club.
    In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by two sons, Todd of Gratz and Ty of Harrisburg, one daughter, Taryn, at home, and two brothers, John W. Jr. and Thomas, both of Trevorton. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary C. Reed.
    The funeral will be conducted, at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross, by the Rev. Glen B. Keidel Jr. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Red Cross.
    Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church.
    Donations in his memory may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, RD1, Box 30B, Dornsife, Pa. 17823.
