Robert J. Miller Sr. was born on 7 September 1923, Tower City, Schuylkill County, PA.1 He married Juanita Coleman, daughter of Charles Coleman and Ida Burke.2 Robert J. Miller Sr. died on 16 September 2005, Williamstown, Dauphin County, PA, at age 82.1

Robert J. Miller, 82, formerly of 1508 E. Grand Ave., Tower City, died Friday afternoon at his daughter's home in Williamstown, with whom he resided.
Born in Tower City, Sept. 7, 1923, he was a son of the late Harry and Myrtle Jones Miller.
Mr. Miller was a baker all his life, working for the former Coopers Bakery, and then he and his wife owned and operated the former Tower City Bake Shop. He retired as a supervisor from PennDOT, Harrisburg.
He was of the Protestant faith and belonged to the American Legion. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and of the Navy Reserve.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Coleman Miller, in 1990; a stepson, Charles Russell; five brothers, Allen, Paul, Joe, Gene and Henry Miller; a sister, Joyce Ponti; and two stepsisters, Eleanore Laing and Naomi Zerby.
Surviving are his daughter, Shirley C. Malick and her husband, Robert, with whom he resided; three sons, James R. and his wife, Myra, Williamstown, John R. and his wife, Lynn, California, and Robert J. "Fritz" Jr. and his wife, Janet, Muir; six grandchildren, Robbie and Michael Malick, Daniel, Tammy, Jason and Heidi Miller; four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City R.D., with the Rev. Charlene Reitz. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 16 N. 4th St., Minersville, PA 17954. Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City, has charge of arrangements.
