Harold L. Carl Sr., 71, of 428 N. Second St., Lykens, died Thursday at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.
Born in Tower City, Nov. 24, 1927, he was a son of the late Allen and Mae Young Carl.
He retired as a welder from Fruehauf Corp., Middletown.
He was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Elizabethville.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn M. Shiley Carl, Lykens; four sons, Harold L. Jr., Dornsife, Edward L., Klingerstown, Allen H., Cape Coral, Fla., and Charles H., Lykens; five daughters, Joann I. Minnich, Fort Myers, Fla., Catherine L. Hoke, Elizabethville, Evelyn M. Matter, Millersburg, Valerie J. Moyer, Schuylkill Haven, and Trudy L. Wilkinson, Dornsife; a brother, Melvin Carl, Tower City; two sisters, Blossom Brennison, Philadelphia and Shirley Freeman, Harrodsburg, Ky; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Elizabethville. Paul T. Moyer will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. John M. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, is in charge of arrangements.
