William Schoffstall was born; Both the Comprehennsive History of Gratz and the History of Lykens Township, indicate that Adam and Polly had two additional sons, William and Harry who "died young." This is unclear. No other records for such sons could be located. Both the 1900 and 1910 Census records indicated that Polly was the mother of only 4 children, all of who were then living. If the Census records are correct, then the listing of William and Harry as sons of Adam and Polly is erroneous.2,3,1,4 He was the son of John Adam Schoffstall and Polly Schwalm.1 William Schoffstall died before 1914. William is not listed as living at the time of either Adam or Polly's death.5,6,1,7
