Newspaper obituary:
MARION BOWERS EDWARDSON
Marion Bowers Edwardson passed over February 12, 2012. Born and raised in Pottsville, PA where she met and married Arnold Edwardson, her husband of over 60 years. They were stationed at Eglin Air Force Base during World War II and, after the war, moved back to Pottsville, PA (where she and her husband welcomed their sons, Dennis and Jack into the world). They later moved to Greenport, NY (where their daughter, Crystal was born) and finally to Lantana, FL, where she and her husband would eventually call home for almost 50 years. Marion and Arnold made numerous trips to Arnold's family home on the western coast of Norway. They also became very active in the Sons of Norway Palm Coast Lodge.
A faithful Lutheran throughout her life, Marion was very active in the Living Word Lutheran Church of Lantana and enjoyed participating in fundraisers. It brought her joy to share her love of baking and needlework with family and friends. Along with her religious faith and husband, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild and goddaughter were the loves of her life. She enjoyed and took great pride in their accomplishments, and shared the challenges and sorrows her family experienced over the years.
She is survived by her grieving family and friends, son, Dennis Edwardson and his wife, Janet; son, John (Jack) Edwardson and his wife, Joan; daughter, Crystal Edwardson Wolfe and her husband, Charles (Greg); grandchildren, Michael Edwardson, Karm Edwardson and her fiancee, Alexa, Kristin Edwardson, Rosie Edwardson Kempf and her husband, Roy, Grace Edwardson, Emma Edwardson, Ashley Wolfe, great-grandchild, Ryker Kempf; goddaughter, Deby Bowers Somers and her husband, Dennis, as well as many extended family members and friends too numerous to mention. She will be missed by us all, but is welcomed home by her husband, Arnold and her grandchild, Abby Edwardson.
The family will receive their friends at the funeral from 11:30AM until the service time at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 15.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home 3041 Kirk Road Lake Worth, FL 33461 www.dorsey-smithmemorygardens.com.4
