Gary A. Shade, 75, of Halifax, passed away on November 25, 2021, at his home. He was born in Valley View on May 24, 1946, a son of the late Dora Shade-Klinger and the late Allen A. Shade. Gary was employed as a Forensic Accountant for PA Attorney Generals Office .
He served in the Navy for 23 years, retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of the Tax Committee, Halifax School Board Director, Gratz Fair Director and a Boy Scout Leader. Gary enjoyed fly fishing, wood working, camping and traveling.
Gary is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan K. Shade, son, Matthew Gary Shade; brother, David Roy and wife Catherine Shade; sister, Deborah Alice Kreitzer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in the Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Gratz Fair Scholarship Fund, PO Box 204, Gratz, PA 17030.3
He was buried at Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz, Dauphin County, PA.3
