     Nancy Ruth Klinger was born on 28 May 1938, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Matthew Klinger and Ruth Elizabeth Poticher.¹ Nancy Ruth Klinger married Marvin C. Wade, son of Clyde Emerson Wade and Laura Mahan, on 16 May 1959, Prout Chapel, Bowling Geen State University, Bowling Green, OH.^1,2 Nancy Ruth Klinger died on 15 September 2019, at age 81.¹

Nancy was born on May 28, 1938 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Thomas and Ruth (Poticher) Klinger.
The family moved to Elyria, Ohio where Nancy graduated with Honors from Elyria High School in June,1956. She then enrolled at Bowling Green State University and graduated with a degree in Education.
It was here that she met & ultimately married Marvin C. Wade of Springfield Ohio. They were married at the University’s Pout Chapel on May 1959. In the current year they celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary.
The couple moved to Columbus shortly after marriage for Marvin to enter graduate school at The Ohio State University and Nancy to begin teaching in the Columbus School System. While teaching Nancy received the Heritage Foundation’s award for “Outstanding Teaching.”
Nancy and Marvin both retired in 1991 and spent considerable time in the next few years traveling including all 50 U.S. states and 55 countries.
Nancy continued being involved in the community serving on the Board of the League of Women Voters, Officer in the Powell, Liberty Historical Society and numerous committees assignments for the Powell United Methodist Church.
She has also worked for 35 years with the men and women of AA.
In spite of all of the above activities Nancy and Marvin managed to acquire and raise a son (Scott) and daughter (Staci) .
Nancy is survived by the above and grandchildren Jordan Wade, Evan Wade, Thomas Presley, and Mitchell Presley, Daughter-in-law Jennifer, beloved sister Jane & husband Joe Chelena, and nephews Jonathan and Aimee Sewell, Matthew Sewell, and Andrew Chelena & Heather Raiti.
Also sister in-law Betty Wade and daughter Bindle, nephews Rick & wife Sheryl and Darrell & wife Cathy and many other relatives across the United States.
Services are planned on Saturday September 21 @ 10:00AM at the Powell United Methodist Church, 825 E. Olentangy St. Powell OH 43065. In lieu of any flowers please consider donations to the church.¹

     Marvin C. Wade was born on 21 March 1933, Springfield, OH.² He was the son of Clyde Emerson Wade and Laura Mahan.² Marvin C. Wade married Nancy Ruth Klinger, daughter of Thomas Matthew Klinger and Ruth Elizabeth Poticher, on 16 May 1959, Prout Chapel, Bowling Geen State University, Bowling Green, OH.^1,2 Marvin C. Wade died on 22 January 2024, at age 90.²

Marvin Wade, 90, of Powell, OH passed away peacefully and joined his loving wife Nancy on Monday, January 22, 2024. Marvin was born on March 21, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio to Clyde Emerson Wade and Laura (Mahan) Wade.
Marvin attended Northwestern High School in Springfield, Ohio. Upon graduation he joined the United States Navy in 1951. He served 4 tours of duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany as an aircraft mechanic during the Korean War.
Upon leaving the US Navy he enrolled at Bowling Green State University. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1959. It was here that he met & ultimately married Nancy R. (Klinger) Wade of Elyria, Ohio. They were married at the University's Prout Chapel on May 16th,1959 and were married for 60 years as of Nancy's passing in 2019.
The couple moved to Columbus shortly after marriage for Marvin to enter graduate school at The Ohio State University and Nancy to begin teaching in the Columbus School System. Marvin then began his career at Nationwide Insurance in Computer and Commercial Systems, where he worked for 31 years from 1961 to his retirement in 1991.
In retirement, Marvin and Nancy spent considerable time traveling, including all 50 U.S. states and 55 countries. Marvin also loved to golf, fly remote control airplanes, volunteered at the Ohio Historical Society, and was an avid reader. He also continued to love working on computers and completing various remodeling projects.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, brother Rebert Wade, and sister Jean Ann (Wade) Wagner.
He is survived by his son, Scott Wade and wife Jennifer, of Powell, OH and daughter, Staci Wade of Columbus, OH.
Grandchildren Jordan and wife Alli Wade, Evan Wade, Thomas and wife Amanda Presley, and Mitchell Presley, Great Grand Child Whitley Jo Wade. Sister-in-law Jane & husband Joe Chelena, and nephews Jonathan and Aimee (DeAngelo) Sewell, Matthew Sewell, and Andrew Chelena & wife Heather Raiti. Sister-in-law Betty Wade, Neice, Belinda Rhoades and husband Eugene Stutzenstein, nephews Rick & wife Sheryl Wagner, and Darrell & wife Cathy Wagner, and many other relatives across the United States.
Visitation with the family is planned for Saturday, February 3 at 1:00pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm at the Powell United Methodist Church, 825 E. Olentangy St., Powell OH 43065.
