Elvirdia Welker
Mrs. Elvirdia Irene (Kissinger) Welker, 73, widow of Harry E. Welker of Gratz, died Thursday in Dauphin County Hospital, Harrisburg. She was born Aug. 21, 1902 in Lykens Township. Her mother was the late Bertha Scheib. She was a member of Simeon's Lutheran Church, Gratz. Her husband died in 1940.
Surviving are three sons, Elwood of RD3 Halifax; Lester of RD Lykens; Clarence of Gratz; three daughters, Mrs. Michael Yergo, Elizabethville; Mrs. Francis Robel, Gratz; Mrs. Robert Klinger, Camp Hill; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two half brothers, Harold Scheib of Hegins and Stanley Scheib of Valley View.
Services will be held Sunday afternoon at Simeon's Lutheran Church, Gratz, with Rev. Robert Logan officiating. Interment will be in Gratz Community Center. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.

HARRY E. WELKER
Harry E. Welker, 45, a resident of Lykens Township, near Gratz, died at his home Friday of last week. Mr. Welker was a veteran of the World War, member of the Shade Post, American Legion, Gratz, and attended the Reformed Church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elvirdia Kissinger Welker and three daughters, Helen, Arlayne, Hannah and three sons, Elweed, Lester and Clarence. Eight sisters and three brothers also survive.
Military funeral services in charge of the Gratz American Legion, were held from his late home Tuesday afternoon with further services in the Gratz Lutheran and Reformed Church, with Rev. A. L. Zechman and Rev. Wesley Baer, pastor of the Williamstown Methodist Church, Chaplain of the 19th District American Legion, officiating. Burial was made in the Gratz Cemetery.
