     Sarah Wiest is also referred to as Sallie in some sources.1 She was born on 21 February 1816, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2,3 She was the daughter of Johannes Wiest and Catharine Merkel. Sarah Wiest married William Strohecker. Sarah Wiest died on 28 February 1865, Hebe, Jordan Township, Northumberland County, PA, at age 49.2

     Barbara Merkel Wiest was born on 1 March 1832, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.1,2 She was the daughter of Johannes Wiest and Catharine Merkel. Barbara Merkel Wiest married David S. Klinger, son of Alexander Klinger and Elizabeth Schwalm, in 1851.3 Barbara Merkel Wiest died on 25 January 1894, at age 61.1 She was buried at Saint Michaels Lutheran Church Cemetery, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.4
