Wilson, daughter of Arthur James Wilson and Sarah Elizabeth Sweigert.^3,2 Howard E. Davis died on 1 June 1979, Pottsville Hospital, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 73.²

Howard E. Davis, 73, of 58 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, died at 3:35 Friday afternoon at Pottsville Hospital where he had been admtted Thursday.
Mr; Davis was born Sept. 13, 1905 in Tremont Township, son of the late Charles and Hannah Strahecker Davis. Before retiring he had been employed as a pump operator by the Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his widow, the former Alice , Wilson; a daughter, Ramona, wife of William Loy, Pine; Grove; six grandchildren; three great -granddaughters; one brother, Moses, Harrisburg.
Services will be held Monday at the convenience of the family from the Snyder Funeral Home with the Rev. George Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Cressona Cemetery.

Heartter, daughter of John Henry Heartter and Marietta Hornish.² Russell H. Davis died on 17 June 1963, Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA, at age 49.^2,4

Russell Davis
Russell (Mose) Davis. 49, of 425 Main St., South Williamsport, native of Tremont, died Monday evening about 7 o'clock in Divine Providence Hospital. Williamsport, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks.
Mr. Davis was a son of the late Charles and Hannah Strohecker Davis. He resided in Tremont until 1940, when he moved to Williamsport.
He was employed for the past 23 years by the Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company, Williamsport.
A graduate of Tremont High School, he was a member Tower City L. O. M. Lodge 1603; Steinbacher American Legion Post 617, S. Williamsport, and Palmer Strausser VFW, Williamstown.
Surviving are his wife, the former Beatrice Heartter, two brothers, Moses of Harrisburg and Howard, of Shamokin Dam.
His funeral will be held on Friday morning from the Noll Funeral Home, Central and Market Sts., South Williamsport.
