     Johannes Klinger also went by the name of John.1 He was born on 8 February 1843, Dauphin County, PA.2 For a time John, lived on the Peter Klinger homestead south of Klinger's Church and then later sold the farm to his brother Daniel and wife Sevilla Shaffer. He married Christiana Deibert, daughter of William Deibert. In 1870, John was a farmer living in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA, with his wife Christina and daughter Hannah.1 At the time of the 1880 Census, John and Christina's household included 2 daughters, Hannah and Amelia.3 By 1900, John and Christina were living in a household with their daughter Hannah and son-in-law Monroe Scheib. According to the Census John and Christina had been married for 33 years and had given birth to 2 children, both of whom were then living.4 In 1910, John and Christina were living on their own in Lykens Township, where John was listed as living on his "own income."5 Johannes Klinger died on 26 May 1918, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA, at age 75.6,2 He was buried on 30 May 1918, at Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erdman, Dauphin County, PA.2
